Can't brain. Has dumb.
*If* it turns out there is no god and your religion is false would you look back at your actions and your personal history and judge it to be moral?

Events in your life that could only be defined as moral *if* some form of your god and religion is true.

So if I am doing the judging?

Not moral. Nor immoral. Simply... my life is/has been my life. We all do the very best we can with the information we have available to us, and we act in accordance with it. How anyone can judge another as being immoral for simply acting on the things they feel to be true, is kind of beyond me. I have no real judgment in the matter.

I would say the same if there IS a god.

hey, Bob.

i'd argue that what Paul did to further the Gospel was not immoral- when in Rome, as it were, he adapted. that is not to say he lied to the Jews or Gentiles- rather, he adopted their practices in order to better relate to them, and them to him. he became "all things to all people"- and indeed, a Christian hoping to share the Gospel effectively needs to take into account the cultural differences of peoples while ministering to them, and serving them, and respect those differences within framework of Christian morality.

It is a lie to say, for instance, that you're Jewish, but when among Gentiles you don't keep to Torah.

is it a lie if, while with Muslims, i refrain from eating pork in front of them, out of respect for their faith? is it a lie to wear a sari and call the elders "Uncle" and "Auntie" while fellowshipping with Indian Christians, whereas in other setting i'd wear a t-shirt and jeans and call people "Sir" and "Ma'am"?

If you turn it around, it is a lie if a Muslim, when in front of you, eats pork because he is in your company. Paul supposedly engaged in Gentile practices when among Gentiles, and didn't stick to Torah like a Jew is required to do.

also... believers in what? to lump all people of faith together is a bit of a stretch. believers in anything? in a god? in a higher power? in Christ? in an Abrahamic tradition?

when faith is lived out in the head and fails to connect with the heart and hands, there is a problem. faith without works is dead, as James emphatically declares. Christian faith without the fruits of love, service, humility, and Christlikeness can not be said to be true faith.

simply saying "Lord, Lord!" does not make of a follower of that Lord, nor neccesarily a very good embassador of His Person.

Specifically, faith as in Christian faith.

Depends Upon My Mood..
We know right from wrong period...Based on how we want to be treated..

Who wants to be lied to??Im sure there are some that get a turn on by that but by MAJORITY who wants to be lied to?

Who wants to be injured or killed by another? Again Im sure some get a rise out of that but by MAJORITY who wants to die prematurally at the hands of another? OR have that happen to a loved one??

Our morals come form empathy and relating to one another based on how WE would want to be treated ourselves..IMHO...

I think no matter what people are immoral. Those of us who are without God are immoral in the eyes of the faithful. The faithful are hypocritical, they sin as well yet they have the nerve to palm off the blame as if they had no choice in the matter. Id be a millionaire if i recieved a dollar every time i heard "this was the work of the devil" or some variation of that statement.

This post is an example of the work of the devil.
