Would you please explain the Biblical basis for "rapture"?

I believe saying there is no rapture is just as much false doctrine as saying the Pope is the antichrist or that there is no hell or that the Pope is infallible.

I believe this hardly serves as a tenable argument.
Intereseting post. I don't subscribe to the idea that the Pope is anything but the leader of the Cathoic Chruch. It's true I don't interpret scripture as supporting a hellfire place of etnernal damnation, and no mere human (re: the Pope) is infallible.
Curious? What are your beliefs on the things you posted about?
I'm not trying to bait anyone for any reason especially to demean a belief.
I'm simply trying to see other's points of view.
No hidden agenda here.

I beleive it is off topic but will answer anyway and if there is a desire to debate one of the issues I could start a new post.

I believe that the Pope is theoretically Christian and filled with the Holy Spirit however in reality I am not sure that either are common to the Roman Catholic Church. Historically there have been popes that acted in a way that would indicate that they were not Christians.

I believe there is enough Biblical evidence that there is a hell and that an interpretation otherwise is wishful thinking.

I believe anyone who has received Jesus as Lord and Savior has the Holy Spirit but it takes a 100% comittment to His lordship to be infallible. I doubt anyone is capable of that but I am sure some come close to it.

Would you share with me the Biblical evidence that leads you to believe a hell of punishment exists. I'd hate to be wrong about that.
Many churchs refrain from teaching the existance of hell citing it's a pagan notion.
The Ancient Jews had no word nor a belief in such a place. Jesus was a Jew, ergo would not teach of hellfire and eternal damnation.

I believe this is also off topic and there is a thread for it.

I suggest studying fire in the Bible.

I believe God reveals things when they become relevant so a lack of revelation in the past does not mean that God will not reveal something in the future.

I believe one may not discount pagan mythology entirely since there is no sure way to ascertain its merits, however having Jesus talk about the same thing tends to give the mythology some credibility.
