Of course. I'm looking at IQs and track records.

Sadly looking for monkeys typing out a best selling novel would be more productive for the foreseeable future.

I don't really have a party or any particular loyalties to any party. Most of the time, I see the Democrats as the lesser of two evils, so I tend to vote in that direction. But I also look at individual candidates, including third party and independents.

I don't need anonymity. Abso-freaking-loutly.

I have no party loyalty. Although I'm a registered libertarian, I'll vote for whatever candidate is the most qualified.

Refusing to vote outside of partly lines, in my eyes, is no different than denying science in favor of a tightly held belief.

I voted maybe (I like it when polls like this are public)

It would depend. If this hypothetical person who hypothetically has has better ideals, values, is better qualified, if them getting elected would throw the balance of power to a party that supported bad policy and bad ideas, they I could not vote for them.

If them getting elected did not affect the balance of power in the government (and I could be sure of that), then sure I would.

Possibly, though how they would manage certain issues would be taken into account even if they were more qualified. I wouldn't consider someone with more qualifications if electing them may mean something like less environmental restrictions or restrictions on LGBTQ+ rights.

Party, values and qualifications matter little; I vote for the person whose I think has the better ideas.

The title alone, no, the op, maybe. I don't look at party affiliation as my primary indicator but platform *and* voting history, as well as I think it's irresponsible to not know where they're getting donations from.

It would take a lot to get me to vote republican when the 'good ones' are should-have-been-hit-with-war-criminal-charges Bush family or the coming of '**** you got mine' capitalism Reagan, who I would argue did more outright damage to this country than even Trump.

But unlikely isn't a zero percent chance.

What would be more likely is a third party candidate. Probably left libertarian, social dem or maybe even green party depending.

It sucks that we have to think about this.
If they end up outlawing my ability to have my hormone therapy or restrict it where insurance dont cover it and id no longer be able to continue my transition id likely kill myself. I cannot live as a woman. I'd rather be dead.
