If they end up outlawing my ability to have my hormone therapy or restrict it where insurance dont cover it and id no longer be able to continue my transition id likely kill myself. I cannot live as a woman. I'd rather be dead.
They're trying to toss more people off insurance here. Some won't be able to be seen for a simple malady, let alone anything extensive.

If Chris Christie was the republican nominee and there was a young and inexperienced person who was the democrat nominee I could see myself voting for Christie. It's not just the president we are voting for, it is all the staffers who the president will pick who advise and make policy decisions.

I don't vote Democrat because of some weird loyalty to the Democratic Party. I vote Democrat because their public policies are more geared toward helping the average person compared to Republican policies. I also wouldn't vote Republican because of their war on education, women's rights, and the LGBTQ+ community. So to answer the OP, if some miracle occurred and a Republican candidate that had policies that favored workers over CEOs/stockholders, for example, sure, I would cross party lines in a heartbeat. But the Democrats are the best game in town at the moment given my policy priorities.

Explain to me what a qualified politician is and what good values are?

Who gets to decide the worth of a value for everyone else?

If the person from the other party has better ideals, values, is better qualified, etc..
Would you vote for them instead of your own party?

Votes are anonymous. Be honest
I don't have a "party".
I am drawn to some more then others concerning the basic things they stand for, but I don't "have" a party.

So at best, perhaps I have several.

Not also that I'm from Belgium. We have like 6-7 parties here. New ones get created regurarly also.
Not really like the 2-party system of 'murica.

I vote for a person's ideas.

:)
There are qualified economists who dream of robbing commoners to favor 4 criminal dynasties.

So...qualification doesn't mean to have a pure soul.

I tend to vote for the party which has the policies that I would like to see enacted, so generally personalities don't enter into it, although I would certainly prefer to have qualified sane individuals with suitable abilities, and with integrity, to be in power over those not so likely to have these.

I voted yes. I have voted both ways in the past. I used to be a Republican and wish that they could find a decent candidate again. But I have doubts that they will recover from Trumpism in my lifetime.
