Many times I read account where people waved to a UFO, blinked a flashlight at a UFO, etc.
What would you do if you saw a UFO? Would you try to attract the UFO's attention? Are you hoping for a free colonoscopy?
i'm extremely curious by nature, so i think i would probably try to interact with the thing. But i don't think i'll flash a light to them, maybe they could think i'm trying to hit them with some strange energy weapon.

At any rate I figure it wouldn't matter if they are evil or not for I am sure they have advanced enough technology to locate me even if I tried to run away so might as well face them and find out why they are here!

Risky, because in their language the code for "SOS" might mean something different, like "Dinner's served!"

If they have the technology to get here there would be little point in running and hiding.
I would rather hope that I had a camera with me, but knowing my luck I probably would not.
I suspect at some point we will have contact with aliens but almost certainly on their terms, not ours.
I doubt they would come all this way just to be aggressive.
