I'm sure I missed a couple. The memory isn't what it used to be.

In any case, good memories. Went to several matches. Great stuff.

Not that I care about wrestling, but the name sticks in my head.

Given that Chyna was an original member of DX, even before they were called DX and going by the Clique (back when Rick Rude was with them), I am pretty sure they are going to have a very wonderful tribute for her.

Damn, hard to believe Rick Rude has been dead for nearly 20 years now. But, then again, if you watch the first year of Raw it's a tragic list filled with wrestlers who didn't live long enough to see the 20th anniversary show.

I am super totally jealous of this one local band here because a couple weeks ago they got to meet Mick Foley.
But if that band ever makes it big, I can say I was at their first concert.

One event that definitely left an impression was when DX invaded Nitro. Though I still think WCW handled it poorly, it was still awesome!

I have to admit, back in the WWF days (1980s I think), a friend got me to go to a few of those live WWF shows and, put a bag over my head, some of those classic characters got me a bit hooked, I mean we would be laughing, and at work even we would talk about them and laugh. It was a great act, actually.

I may not remember the exact names so if I misspell some of the names, sorry, but I remember some who made an "impression", and made us laugh, viz:

Hulk Hogan, Sargent Slaughter, Haystacks Calhoun, Alexis Smirnoff (some Vodka brand) the evil Russian Communist, The Iron Sheik an Iranian Muslim, Tito Santana a "Mexican" character who would get beaten up but in the end defeat the goonda, Andre the Giant, Rowdy Roddy Piper the Scot. Funny stuff.

You may be thinking of Nikolai Volkoff.
The Iron Sheik an Iranian Muslim
I always enjoyed watching the Iron Sheik. He was actually a very accomplished Greco-Roman wrestler during his days in Iran. What's even more interesting is that he was a body guard of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the last Shah of Iran. And without a doubt his Iranian background is what made him such an excellent heel in an industry overflowing with patriotic displays and Americana.
