There are a lot of things in Christianity that I don't agree with, but chief among those is the idea that God has created a horrible torturous existence for those that break his rules.
I'm not really interested in a God that would do something like that. Even if it is true.
Beyond that, I will say there are plenty of things in the Bible that are worth reading, and I would encourage anyone with the stomach for such texts to pick it up.
Its entirely possible for me to extract the bits of Christianity that I like and leave the rest behind. It's just not possible for me to do that and still be considered a Christian.
So, I'm not a Christian.

No. I think that Jesus could have tell them when he was alive if he is the last prophet or no.
And in the Book 1 John , its says :
4.1Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
4.2.This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God,
4.3.but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.
So, it seems that it let a clear path to a new "spirit from God" , meaning a prophet according to the first verse.
Because somebody has to be the brakes on otherwise runaway trains.
