Yup. That's correct. And if you knew enough about the subject to actually have an "authentic understanding," your statement above wouldn't have been made with sarcasm.

I'm not attacking you. I'm attacking your interpretation and your hermeneutic. The first is an ad hominem fallacy. The second is ... debate. I'm also making an observation of your apparent lack of knowledge on the subject, based upon your posts. An observation isn't an "attack." My advice: if you can't stand the heat of debate, probably best to stay out of that kitchen -- at least until you come to some semblance of understanding of the thing you're disparaging here.

You know what's funny? No one ever stops to think what happens if the curse happens because she's guilty of having an affair ... IIRC, the woman gets herself stoned to death. the threshold of proof is daunting. Trumped up charges would not carry the day and the guy would expose himself to more societal difficulty (and penalty) for doing such to a loyal spouse.
