Hindu monk Swami Sivananda is 120 years old. See link below. There are many other examples from Hinduism. One of my saints lived 300 years. The actual average life span of a human should be 120 years but the problems are:

* meat, stress, lack of stretches, people sit on chairs too long but should be sitting on floor, over sexed, the mind and brain focus too much on the wrong or stupid things, jealousy, aggrievance, chemicals get into food and skin, bad associations, forgetting to clean teeth and the "junk" that grows on teeth then goes down into the tummy and kills you.

I do not think I will make it to 120 which should be the average but isn't. I will probably die of a heart attack. But, I had a great life otherwise. My health has gotten worse when I stopped greeting the sun Surya in the morning with prayers and spend too much time on the internet. Hatha yoga is for the mind and not just body, and is why it is better that just exercise. The idea of living long is to not make living long some sort of end game. Do all these things, go to temple, but don't think "I will live long", just think "I will live happy and good".

There is even a Jain swami (Prahlad Jani) that has nor eaten or drank anything for 70 years. He receives his energy from the sun and was granted a special boon by the goddess he worships. He has been tested by a scientific lab and confirmed his lack of need for food or water. However, don't try this at home:). He is also nourished supernaturally with a nectar that materializes and descends through a small hole in his palate. This is part of why I love India.

Jains are not supposed to worship Goddesses. Skeptic here.
The goddess is Amba. I have looked into this quite a bit including his stay at Sterling Hospital where he was tested twice and I believe it is highly likely to be true; although skeptics will never accept it and will necessarily claim cheating/fraud.

Nowhere near 900 years that Adam is supposed to have lived.

Well I am skeptic off all of this, though I'm willing to believe in the possibility. As for Adam, I think many Western readers make the mistake of reading 900 years while thinking of the Gregorian calendar... but I'm no expert so I'm just putting this out there

Do you think they actually meant lunar months? That will make 75 years which is quite possible (around my age). ;)

Lol it sounds more acceptable... But it is still with our modern calendars in mind, isn't it? I/we have no idea how the author(s) of the book of Genesis counted the days, months and years to at last come to the conclusion the Adam was 900 when he died.
