Although there is no "official" information it seems that the Biden administration might be imposing domestic travel restrictions to control the spread of COVID-19.
Florida Officials Say They'd Fight Any Potential Domestic Travel Restrictions

Now for the "undisclosed....anonymous Biden source told the Miami Herald Wednesday the administration was actively discussing “potential travel restrictions within the United States” as a way to curb emerging coronavirus variants, as the more transmissible variant first detected in the United Kingdom is expected to become the U.S.’s primary strain by March.

Seem's that this administration also has "undisclosed sources"

Now if they do, how do you think it would affect those seeking entry into the US from our Southren borders.

Why is this a bad thing?

This seems to be a big anxiety of yours. In case it isn't clear enough. Travel visas and asylum seeking (and other forms of immigration visa) are two very different things. It has no effect nor could it.

It worked in Australia which has an average of one case per day for the whole country.

Every administration has had "undisclosed sources'. Why are you in the least surprised that the Biden administration is no different then Presidents of both parties?

Now if they do, how do you think it would affect those seeking entry into the US from our Southren borders.

There's no way of stopping people from crossing borders. Eastern Germans died to get out of that country for just one example. So even a wall like this and shooting people trying to escape did not stop people.

It makes sense that travel restrictions would only
apply to legal travel, which can be highly regulated.
Illegal travel is unregulated....sort of by definition.
It's a new regime, & a new way. I don't question it.

Seriously? What the issue here is tyranny and freedom. You don't have eyes to see or ears to hear.
Perhaps you need to mass produce your special glasses and hand them out?
Looks like you may need to also mass produce your hearing aids.....

How on earth can you control a disease that will "be there" when we get back?...

Tyranny? They’re trying to slow down an infectious disease. Oh how horrible?
Let's agree that it's good to take measures to reduce the
threat of disease. That's easy. But what if government
does it by illegal means? It seems that's where the
accusations of tyranny arise.

Now if they do
This is the "you've got to be kidding me," as you ask this after it's asserted it's not happening. And not only that Trump was given a free pass for everything he said, he didn't mean, thinking out loud, and so on, and nothing. And now Biden talks something and oh my god how horrible?
At least he talked and discussed things. This was something the previous administration was reluctant to do.

I agree, but this seems like a pretty common-sense response to help limit the spread. For me, I find the right whining about their freedoms on endless repeat regardless of the political discussion to be exhausting, this incident included.

Sorry if it ruins vacation plans you shouldn't have been taking anyway.

No, it's that some of us don't want to needlessly slaughter and maim our fellow citizens. We want to see our country doing better, like many other countries, rather than suffering as o e of the worst hit by covid.

It’s illegal in the US to impose lockdown measures that pretty much every other country in the world already imposed?

They need a hard long look at how freedom does not mean freedom to do whatever I want, freedom to ignore public health risks, freedom from consequences, and it most certainly does not mean freedom to selfishly endanger others.
They also desperately need to learn what a right is, and the difference between oppression and loss of rights and something that is a mere inconvenience and mild burden at best.

Common sense has justified imprisoning everyone of Japanese
ancestry, NSA surveilling us all, taking away the right to jury trials
for short sentences, etc.
To give government unconstitutional powers over us is one case
where the slippery slope isn't a fallacy. Once the USSC allows
a violation of the Constitution, stare decisis enshrines it as law.
It can then be expanded upon, eg, Petty Offense Doctrine.

Other countries have different constitutions,
& not all are republics. Authoritarian countries
like China have a big advantage over Ameristan
when dealing with a plague.
