I am the creator of my own reality. The universe is in me and I am in it. There is no point at which one begins and the other ends. My mind is a feeble thing in comparison to that which flows through me.

"That I am" is the creator of reality. "The universe" is me, and "I" it: there is a point at which one begins and the other ends, as well as no point at which one begins and one ends. Mind holds comparison as well as no comparison.

Why do you think there is a terrain?
For my part I see only maps. I think human consciousness is of the map realm.

That's pretty much what I see it like. :)

The map--religions--are full of myths and fables that shouldn't be taken as literal, historic truth. The map is humanity trying to grasp at the ungraspable.

We can walk around following a map all the time, but then we will miss the beauty of the terrain and probably fall over a couple of things. That's not to say the map is a bad thing, but it shouldn't be the be-all and end-all of your trekking experience.

As to why, well, I couldn't possibly say even if I had the words to do so. :)

We are in this physical realm to learn, grow and evolve.
We do this by being challenged and tested.
Our progress is defined by the choices we make as a result of these challenges and tests.
If we choose love, we evolve - if we choose hatred, we stagnate and waste away.
Love moves us closer to God, anything other than love moves us away from God.
I like this alot, but include "morality" base in reference to love.(Only because of the way immature minds work:rolleyes:)

There are no supernatural spirit beings.
The universe created itself. So if one defines a "God" as the laws and principles which created the universe and it turns out the universe unconsciously created itself then I think it is fair to attribute the universe and God and one in the same.
The self is an emergent property of a weak anthropic principle and there needs to be only the one.
Whatever happens to one after they die their religion will not make any difference.
The earth is not alone because if phenomena can happen naturally it can happen again.

I see no reason to believe in anything really. Science does indeed show us alot, but as of now there are still just too many unanswered questions. It shows us the universe could have created itself, but it may be that someone did create the universe. Not necessarily a god though. It may have been a mortal than died along time ago, maybe yesterday.
I just don't find anything to be entirely compelling to believe or not believe in God. I just don't care. As for the soul and afterlife, I'll find out after death. What happens happens, and should nothing happen then I won't be around to know anyways.

I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again;
he ascended into heaven,
he is seated at the right hand of the Father,
and he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.
Amen.

And, Ave Maria!

Polytheism, the Gods of the Pan-Germanic religion. Nature is divine and spiritual, and should be respected and revered. Treat the Gods as your ancestors.

Live as a hero. Live with courage, bravery, and honour, and your name will be remembered forever.

I have a sneaky suspicion that after death the self will re-tune itself via a weak anthropic principle, but if nothing happens then I would never be aware of it anyway. Somehow I find the prospect just nothing rather appealing.

The world is incoherent unless there is an underlying unity, and this needs to be something more than a somewhat amorphous ground of being, since it needs to supply the active reason for its own existence; it can't be turtles all the way down. I think Aristotle had the germ of a good idea with the view that God was thought thinking itself, but then erred in trying to locate the ground of being outside of God.

If there is self-existent thought thinking itself, it must transcend subject-object distinctions, must be unconditioned, and cannot be in relation to anything else outside of itself. Such a being we may as well call God. If God wishes to be in relation, He can only be in relation to something He creates within, in His own thought, since there is nothing else.

Until we know something or someone we should not believe them, especially when they suggest that something is possible that defies the laws of Nature and is outside our personal experience. Remember (but dont believe) the tale of our Emperor, who was naked, gullible and had been misled by an evil entity that he was clothed in a supernatural fibre. He was asking us to 'believe' that he was dressed in this stuff and pointing out that if we didnt 'see' this it was because we were evil. It was a child who pointed this out. Having read what so many here 'believe' can I remind you of that child's comment. We have all moved on from that did you not 'know'.

I believe, for every drop of rain that falls,
A flower grows...

I believe that somewhere in the darkest night,
A candle glows...

I believe for everyone who goes astray,
Someone will come, to show the way,
I believe, I believe...

I believe, above the storm the smallest prayer,
Will still be heard...

I believe, that someone in the great somewhere,
Hears every word...

Everytime I hear a newborn baby cry,
Or touch a leaf, or see the sky,
Then I know why, I believe!

I believe, above the storm the smallest prayer,
Will still be heard...

I believe, that someone in the great somewhere,
Hears every word...

Everytime I hear a newborn baby cry,
Or touch a leaf, or see the sky,
Then I know why, I believe!

Only joking,i believe in myself and whats tangible
