Come to think of it, updating Firefox has a very high chance of solving the issue.

So does switching to other browsers such as Safari, Brave or Opera.

It's not working. Just an error box because it's technically not there.

I had the latest version of FF. It had updated like two days ago.

Ok. Open your Control Panel, then go to Programs and Features and check if Mozilla Firefox is on the list. If it is, uninstall it. If it is not, then just install it. Download the lastest version straight from their website: Internet for people, not profit

I disabled all system restore options the day I brought home my computer (as well as applying 100 other system level tweaks for Windows 10). Nice to see it helped you this time though. Good call @Koldo
