Like Stravinsky's Rite Of Spring, it's a work that I simply can never tire of. Both listening (on a good system of course) and studying it is a life-long endeavor, so much to live and experience through with it. Also, it has it's own nostalgic aspects too, it's not the only piece I'd put in this category but if I'm gonna contribute to this thread, then it's a logical place to start.
Gruppen is a completely visceral piece, you could compare it to psychedelic rock or Kubrick/Lynch movies or to any number of similar mind-bending visceral art-spectacles.
On top of all of that, it's a real one-of-a-kind innovative work that pushed serialism into space - which hasn't been topped yet.

The Rite of Spring grabbed me into the Classical fold - along with naughty Petruska. :D

Your posting of longer albums is making me want to log into rf on a laptop again so I can listen in youtube and read posts. Ty for sharing.

I don't know if Youtube and/or Spotify have issues with copyright so as to at times curtail material and/or interject adverts, but I would have thought that the publicity for the material - leading to many buying it - would be enough for them to allow even full albums to be shown. I've certainly bought stuff after listening to them on both. One can understand the copyright issue, and pirating though. Most of the stuff I post I do own in some form or other. :musicnotes:

PS Although I did do some dubious downloading long ago, I am not a fan of pirating in general. And I felt I had to post the full album since the rest is just as good as the Valentyne Suite. :D

No doubt a classic to many Chinese people. :D Lots of classical Chinese music to love too. :D

I felt I had to include this - amazing what (some)one can do with a two-stringed instrument!

I'd rather the real Dylan but unfortunately there doesn't appear to be an early decent version available - shame, and one of my favourites too. Have this instead:
