Two more, one of which I mentioned above.

The Synagogue in Doboj (Bosnia) is very simple, but I think it's also very beautiful:

And the mosque in Doboj, despite the color, is attractive architecturally:

there's a lovely catholic church near to my house- lovely inside and out

saint john the dinive in NYC is stunning, towering, and wonderfully beautiful (not to mention huge, massive, and titanic). a true master work of religious architecture.

My house of worship happens to be Earth. I take it pictures are unneccessary? :p

Pretty much any area of Earth with little human interference is perfect for me to hold ritual or meditate. :D

I almost forgot the Portland temple. That one is absolutley amazing.

In all my years though I haven't been able to visit other house of worship as much as I have liked, because living in UTah and Idaho, you really don't get the chance.

You forgot the one in DC (or Maryland?). BruceDLimber insisted on driving me by the last time I was there.

It's in Maryland but it's called the Washington D.C. Temple here's a picture.

All Baha'i Houses of Worship have 9 sides to them, fwiw.

My husband and I got married in the gardens here 21 years ago...this is the Baha'i House of Worship north of Chicago, IL. Sorry this is such a big pic, but it does show the "concrete lacework" detail on the outside.

Here's my favorite Baha'i House of Worship, which is in New Delhi. The story of how they managed to build this is very interesting. Each one of those "petals" had to poured of concrete in one go, by teams from different cultures that spoke different languages, so it was an interesting bit of coordination.

It looks even cooler at sunset:

I hope to go there someday and see it in person.

This is the Shrine of the Bab, on Mt. Carmel in Haifa, Israel:

Here's a picture that shows the garden terraces above and below the shrine:

ok, no pics of this unless i wanna run a couple miles in the dark, but there is this old old old mausoleum in the middle of a graveyard, that if i could gain access to would be perfet for me! dark, secluded, death essence all around....it would be my nice lil arcane sanctuary.

You would've loved an Anthropology class I had in college. One of our research projects involved tracing trends in cemetary traditions.

I found some really cool stuff digging around the more obscure cemetaries in SW Michigan.

Sadly enough, sometimes Jews are pelted by stones from boys for going to the western wall.
