Your mind and life are like a ship on a rough sea

Your mind and life are like a ship on a rough sea, if you load it with too much cargo, you would be lucky to ever reach your choice of destination. It not how much you fill it with, it’s what you fill it with that makes the difference.
A secret to happiness is not always found in obtaining more, but in having the things you need, then utilizing what you have. Know what things are the most important. Let go of the rest. Baggage you won't need.
Having something and never having to use it is one thing. Not having it and needing to depend on it, could lead to a persons destruction.
There is a old motto that goes, "the more you sweat in peace the less you bleed in times of war."
A mind that prepares for what is coming is not in a state of shock and confusion when it happens.
Sometimes it means to be the difference and not go with the flow
Find your light and yourself then you will know
how to shine for others in their moments of slip and falling
Is a honorable thing to choose for as your own calling.

It may be that mind is the balance, as to what we place on the strong ship from our life experiences.

With the right cargo, correctly stowed away, the ship can ride out any stormy sea. Even more so when we know the captain will always ride the storms with us.

Unhappiness is not in what a person does or possesses but what they see sometimes in another's talents or possessions that creates jealousy. Shine in your own light. The fight is internal first then outwards second.

I have always thought, when waxing philosophical and passing judgment upon others, that taking one's own advice is a very good first move.

Which, come to think of it, is why I don't often wax philosophical or pass judgment upon others.

Except of course liberals, but that's different.

Good thing I tied some cinder bricks to the feet of Jesus and tossed him overboard. That calmed the rough seas significantly and considerably.

As someone with chronic pain, I wish it were that easy. Often enough, unhappiness for me is waking up in the morning (not in a sense of don't want to wake up/rather be dead, but rather being stiff, achy, and sore). Unhappiness is having to go to bed, because sleeping is a lot of time I get nothing done.

I've been making tincture out of wild lettuce and it can be a strong pain killer...check out youtube for how to make it. it grows everywhere I've been. Looks like a dandelion top on a plant that grows about 3 or 4 feet high usually. Non addicting and keeps me moving.
