Road Warrior

Seeking the middle path..
Odd painting. What's the guy in the lower right crying about and why are the reporters interested in him?

I like the image of the Marine Corporal holding the folded flag. Anyone besides me know what that means? I counted at least 6 other military personnel in the picture.

A painting like that one could only have been created by an artist who, while growing up, experienced his first post-pubic spontaneous erection in an American history class and mistook his erection for a religious experience. Had to be.

Jehovah our God is One
thats weird. I would have thought Jesus would look more middle eastern lol

I found it. With zoom and info.

McNaughton Fine Art

The art is at least decent, which can't be said for "modern art"s.

As a non-Christian, I have to say, I quite like it as a painting, even if I do find the theology alien to myself, and the idea of "One Nation Under God" is supposed to not be the Christian God anyway.

But still, pretty cool. It's one artists' expression of his beliefs. I'm okay with that.

Bollywood art. Can't stand it. What does a religious icon doing in the centre of a socio-political (over dramatic) scene?

I love the way Jesus is looking and pointing as if to say:

"Alright, whose ****ing kid is this?! Somebody better tell me why this kid's getting his dirty fingers all over my God damn constitution!"

I have no idea what the picture is supposed to mean...There is a pregnant woman, a banker counting notes, someone on the phone, some earlier Presidents, etc.

But hey, why favor Jesus over some other Gods?

Why not the following picture? Vishnu has more arms than Jesus and Krishna also had some sort of a miracle birth. Beat that Americans. (Apologize for the poor photoediting)

ROFL!!!
The original picture reminded me of all the cheesy pictures I saw at a Hindu temple some months ago. It's childish art that it's an enigma how adults can produce such naive, cheesy and single dimensional art.

Here is more contemporary America. With a genuine American hero (oh wait, perhaps Kryptonite), instead of an anachronistically and anthropologically inauthentic depiction of a Middle Eastern rabbi.

See, now that image actually makes a lot more sense.
