Just came across this thread...

It is a fine painting in itself.

Symbolically the message is that man should concern himself with and live by the Law of God, rather than the laws of man.
Nothing wrong with that, as long as you understand the nature of the Divine.

Though the viewpoint is decidedly partisan. 'God is an American' and a white one at that.... And with a rather militaristic 'soldiers of God' stance.

The (Christ Consciousness) message of Christ is for all people, all nations, all colours, all backgrounds. A universal message.

Somehow, I imagine that not much of that was actually in the head of the guy who created it.
