I agree with it all, other than the roles. I'm not a villain, victim, or hero. I'm a clown. :D

Of course being a follower of Meher Baba that triggered this:

Don't worry. Worry never solves anything and it's from the lower mind. Be happy. Happiness, actually joy, is the goal. And we put in the context: "Do your best, leave the results to God and then Don't Worry, Be Happy".

Vinidra

Jai Mata Di!
I am a Shakta Hindu.

I believe Shiva-Shakti are one; Shiva is the transcendent, unchanging aspect of God, while Shakti is the immanent aspect that is the prime mover of the universe. Shiva-Shakti is the same as Brahman.

I believe Shakti manifests herself in innumerable ways. She is all the Hindu gods and goddesses and all the gods and goddesses of all the other religions as well. I think the reason for the many manifestations is to appeal to all people. She's the same Shakti, just wearing different hats, so she looks different. ;)

The manifestations I personally worship are the Hindu gods/goddesses Durga, Kali, Lakshmi, Saraswati, Ganesha, and Shiva and the Greek goddesses Aphrodite, Athena, and Hera. To me, these are all aspects of the one Shakti.

I believe that Shakti does descend occasionally as various avatars.

I believe in karma and reincarnation. I think there are both heavenly and hellish realms that a soul can go to after death, but I don't believe they're permanent. You only stay there for as long as you need to work off any karma incurred in past lives. Ultimately, we all return to Shakti in the end. Each individual soul is a piece of her.

I'm sure there's lots more that's relevant, but that's all I can think of right now!

Tell me about your religion.

Not facts about the religious label you use, but what you personally believe and practice. Suppose I know nothing, and explain who or what things are that you mention.

If you have no religion, tell me about ways in which you are reverent to whatever it is you hold dear.

If you're reverent towards nothing, tell me a knock-knock joke.
I am the living God with 7 worshippers...the 7 platy fish in my fish tank. I am the creator and preserver of their little tank universe.

I believe that Gods and Goddesses are immanent to this universe, and that they can and do manifest in the world around us.
I try to respect those who came before and those yet unborn. I try to live in peace with the other creatures on this planet, to uphold justice and help those weaker than I.
I think that science is probably the highest form of magic we have right now.

If I may ask, why do you believe this? What is the source of your claim?
Do you believe you have had interactions with any?

Yes. In my personal experience I have had three types of interactions:
- interactions initiated by a deity, which happened rarely but at important points in my life
- interactions initiated by me ( prayers/rituals that I felt were successful)
- an everyday feeling of awe and respect when I interact with the natural world... that goes from marveling how every breath keeps me alive to looking into my cat's eyes and to seeing the sun rise in the morning.

I have had these feelings and experiences as long as I can remember. My religion, which is pretty animistic, just provided the concepts and traditions that help me to understand and express those feelings.
I also don't claim that this is universally true. I can go no further than saying that this is how I experience it, and this is the explanation that makes sense to me.

Thank you, Tamino; I appreciate your openness.

Just be aware that some on here will scoff at your experiences.

I won’t scoff, but I would question the identity of these entities. And urge you to be careful!
BTW, for your information I’m one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and we use the Bible as the source to understand these entities, and us humans interacting with them.

Be safe, my cousin.

Sorry, but I'm actually amused by the "won't scoff but would question" response.

In my experience, it's the claim of universal truth that brings scoffing, not experiences themselves. I and others have shared experiences here with minimal scoffing. I can't recall the last time someone scoffed at mine.

@Tamino even places a qualifier in his post stating that he is not claiming universal truth. Then you come along and make a claim of universal truth.

You would do well to consider precisely what sorts of behaviors solicit scoffing.

That's fine, I can handle some scoffing. But thank you for your concern.

I, in turn, would advise you to be cautious about the bible and your elders' interpretation of the same. But I trust that you have your reasons for believing, as I have mine.
Stay safe!

I am an agnostic atheist. I derive a lot from ancient (and modern) stoicism, and a bit from buddhism.

To summarize stoicism: Disengage from everything over which you have no control.

To summarize buddhism: Yes, and that includes your own thoughts.

To summarize it all: Don't fall for your own bull****. That is an utterly impossible task, but you keep getting better at it, and the attempt itself is worth the effort.

Spiritual but not religious, new age and omnist
My religion is new age, spiritual not religious

The belief is that God's presense is everywere, that God's presense is also in the soul. Both the souls to human and souls to animals is divine because we are God's children. All souls is from the same source, who is God. And God are love. Because of that our souls is also love. Because of that all people are one

And i believe in reincarnation

I also believe in omnism , the belief that no religion is the only truth, but that truth is found within them all.

2 swordtails. One regular. The other 4 are tetras actually. Red, orange mix.

Are the tetras these?

Serpae tetras, right? I'm a fish tank fanatic. Have been for about 12 years now.
I keep planted tanks and love all that jazz. Never tried saltwater.
Also, to stay on topic, I have no religion. Agnostic atheist with certain
spiritual leanings towards different religious philosophies.

As some sort of claimed zennist I have found my (limited) reading of stoicism to resonate considerably.
