Awesome, mine too. I used to keep stick insects as a kid (Carausius morosus, Indian Stick Insects). Maybe that's why I like them.Earwigs are one of my favourite insects
I always wanted a thorny and/or giant stick insect though (I'd love the thorny devil stick insect). My new house is too cold for insects as pets, though.
Plus knowing my luck the kids would let them out of their cage. Somehow or other some of them escaped when I was about 10, and I was still finding baby stick insects in my mother's plants like, a year and a half later.

LOL it's okay! It just took me by surprise a little bit.

The only bug that I actually don't mind holding is a Praying Mantis. They are really neat. They are so cute as babies too! Look at how cute!

A friend of mine has a 12 year old who is an animal nut. He is responsible for introducing stick insects into the wild in his neighbourhood
He is an enterprising little guy though he breeds Lizards as well as snakes, insects, chickens, rabbits and tropical fish and makes a fortune. His house is over run with crickets but his parents don't seem that bothered 
Fond as I am of insects, it wouldn't be how I choose to live.
