Your Top 5 Destinations and why?

BSM1

What? Me worry?
1. The Himalayas to sit on the "Roof of the World"
2. The Colorado Rockies simply because I'm a mountain person
3. San Diego to visit my birth place that I left as an infant
4. Istanbul, Turkey to revisit one of the most interesting places I've ever been
5. Washington, DC to touch the "Wall" because my generation lost so much during the Viet Nam fiasco.

France: I've had an affinity for the language, history & what I know of the culture since childhood. I want to see Paris, no doubt. I'd also love to explore the country in whole. The French countryside looks like something out of a story book.

England, Scotland & Ireland: I'd love to visit the larger cities & also experience the more rustic and rural aspects of each. Like France, there's pictures I've seen that have taken my breath away. I want to see how it looks in real life.

Helsinki, Finland: It looks beautiful in pictures & quite a few musical artists that I enjoy hail from Finland.

Thailand: Love the food, colors & tropical/exotic looking spots that I've seen in photos. Some of the beaches there look amazing.

India: I want to see the Taj Mahal and purchase fabric to redecorate my living room. I've missed two opportunities to travel to India. I know I would loved the experiences. I'm intrigued by the color, architecture, people & spirituality that seems to exude from the Indians that I've met.

Massachusetts, US: Always wanted to see New England in the fall and visit Salem for all the gimmicky events in October. I'd love to explore the state, staying in bed & breakfasts during the fall & catching a baseball game in Boston in the spring or summer.

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, US: I've driven through Pittsburgh once, but would like very much to go back to explore and enjoy the city at greater length. For those in the US who have never seen it, it's like you drive up into the mountains and then a pop-up book opens...and bam! It's just there & beautiful.

Oooh...interesting topic...

Turkey - combination of different culture, having heard positive things, and HISTORY (massive history buff)
Rome - Yeah, I'm mixing countries and cities. I don't know why. Apparently, mucho history in Rome.
Canada - Probably one of the least challenging culturally for me, but many people here have been there, and no-one has ever said a bad word!
East Coast of the States - New York and Boston in particular. Watching the Celtics and the Final Four of the NCAA are both bucket list items for me,
Japan - tossed up on this one, since I am not a huge fan of Japanese culture. But it strikes me as unique, and interesting as heck.

If I'm allowed to bundle Canada and USA as one trip, then I'm adding Ireland for many reasons, including beer, ancient history, beer, modern history, beer, and drinking habits.

Revoltistan - Nothing beats being where I am.
Coolspring PA - Gearhead capital of the world.
San Francisco CA - Food, family, & nearby hiking & snowboarding.
Washington DC - More food, more family, & watching the big pile of burning money.
I don't have a 5th place.

Of course you have a 5th place. Sydney. Sure, Melbourne is better, but no way we're being a 5th choice, baby!

I'd visit Australiastan were it not for its being 47,000 miles away. (Mrs Revolt wants to visit N Zealand.) A friend flies from there to here for the Coolspring show, & he spends about 24 hours on an airplane. Ugh! When I have a desire to see Australiastan, I'll just watch Mad Max.

Did you know that Satan buys all the old 707s, DC9s & L1011s to imprison the damned? It's true! And there are no airline meals...only stale potato chips (spearmint flavored).

Because I can feel the humans from long ago... and the animals, too. All being "watched". By watchers.

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
Ireland to visit Craggy Island and go to the fun fair.

Japan for the robots and crazy weird.

Short of citizenship, I'm almost Canadian anyway being I'm there for most of my work life. Eat at Swiss Chalet and unceasingly beg them to reconsider returning back to the states.

Australia. Oui oui oui.

Switzerland for the music and cheese.

I almost always enjoy traveling a lot more when I don't know where I'm going.

1- Jeddah (70km away from where I live).
2- Makkah (I live there. Getting back to it from Jeddah is a travel as well).
3- Obhur (~120km away from where I live, and it has the beach resorts I take my family to).
4- Riyadh (the capital city of my country, and for business reasons, payed by my company).
5- Jeddah (wait, did I mention that already?)

Okay okay! I don't have that kinda money and leisure time to go abroad!

:(

Those are all ferring, ya blither'n lollipop moistener!
That made me proper belly laugh.

I like cities. Amsterdam, London, and Barcelona I've really enjoyed spending time in. In Scotland I'd spend my time in the country -the Trossachs, the Cairngorms, or one of the Western Isles.

1. Big Major Cay (Pig Island - The Bahamas) - for obvious reasons - to swim with the pigs. ^_^
2. New Zealand - to see all the hobbit houses. :')
3. Egypt - to see all the ancient egyptian architecture - pyramids, sphinx, and all that. I've wanted to see all that stuff since I was like ten years old.
4. Mexico (specifically Chichen Itza and Teotihuacán) - more awesome architecture; pyramids, ball court, and other cool stuff.
5. Very Far North - I don't care which country... I just want to see the Aurora Borealis

I'd also like to take a whole year to explore nearly the entire continent of Africa. There are so many awesome things there. Victoria Falls, the stuff in Egypt, mentioned above, Great Zimbabwe, very likely a million other things I don't even know about, as Africa is very large...

I want to go back to Ireland too. It was my favorite place ever, but I want to see more new places before revisiting anyplace so far away. If I'm going to go far, I want it to be someplace I've never been before. At least for a while. I do definitely want to see Ireland again someday.
