During war times, women in the old times were raped, killed and even the children and elderly. Islam put a stop to that. Women were taken as possession as to be treated decently...afterall, they were still enemies of Islam. In saying that, they cannot have sex with them if they were pregnant, or near pregnant (they must wait to find out first), they are encouraged to be emancipated etc. NOWADAYS, you do not have that going on. Wars are not prevalent and women and children are not left behind. Nowadays it just doesn't happen.

Plus they weren't slave girls. They were free women and children and they raped(which is FORBIDDEN) AND they went against ISLAM. So please don't attribute Isis and the Taliban as the true followers of Islam. They are going against it even though they profess they are....their actions speak louder and against them.

I meant independent, corroborative records. Not the original story. You can't use the existence of other miracle stories in the Bible as evidence for the truth of miracle stories in the Bible. That is circular logic 101.

Same with prophecies, they are not talking about future or past events. They are just saying how it is. They have been misunderstood to think of miracles as magic, and prophecies as future events.

Yes it’s progress as slavery was abolished and sex between consenting adults is natural but I don’t think it’s as liberal as you have suggested.
