None of that matters at all. It's just the difference of language. The Tuaregs have a dozen different words for H2O. But it's all still water. We only have a few. And it's still H2O. The labels are not the content.

both the descriptions of heaven and hell are man made, just like the plethora of gods and variations of a devil.
In your opinion which is worth zilch to those who worshiped their god(s) before big G was thought up.
Of course. Just as there is actually only one RF member who has participated in this thread so far. There are just 10 different names for them.

True. And yet the mystery of creation remains, as does the mystery of a creator. You can dismiss all the names and images and stories and fantasies, but you can't dismiss the mystery. The questions and the possibilities that they engender stand uneffected. And unanswered.

Because it's a single idea/question. The idea/question of a creator-God. Humans all over the world and across time have all comprehended the same idea/question. And then imagined the many possibilities that inspired. Thus, all the different images and names and stories and fantasies. But they're all inspired by the same mystery. A mystery that we still cannot resolve.
I dont have that problem. i woke up here in between the beginning and ending. I work on how it works and spend very little time on the before and after. I prefer keeping my feet on the ground.

The hobbit and lord of the rings is a great story, with a few movies but i do not doubt that the stories are man made, so i have no vesting to the mystery
Sure and they will remain, just like the inside of a black hole. Unanswered and all speculation is just extended story telling and imagination.
Not just names --- wildly different conceptions, too.

So if there's a mystery then no one really knows if there's one creator or many?
A child could create another god that could kick the rest of their butts.
Many creations by many many people. I would like to see the creation of a book that gives straight answers.

Certainly you are free to imagine that those many other imaginings represent your one imagined thing. Whether believers in those many other imaginings would share your assessment would be a different matter.
That's over my head.
But I could see a child creating another god or friend to chat with.

It's our imagination, and the questions and possibilities that result from it that makes us human, as opposed to being just another dumb animal. You can try and reject that characteristic that so you don't have to face your own profound ignorance in the face of it, but even if you succeed, what do you gain? You reject your humanity just so your ego can feel satiated, and justified?

All stem from the same source. You want to play the labels and images against each other to discredit them, hoping no one will notice the universal source that you can't discredit. That great mystery of being.

No idea why.
I am aware that anyone can have an imagination and create questions, ideas and possibilities. That is a part of our equal nature of the human condition (consciousness). I honor the capabilities of people but that does not mean, that i have to address every wild question.
