Hey, Von Bek, I see that you have joined us. Welcome. No problem in being Hindu/Buddhist, I am also one. Completed our Navratra celebrations yesterday (not really me but my wife) though I obediently and fervently bow to all mothers: Durga, Lakshmi, Parvati, Saraswati, Sita, Rukmini and other seven wives of Lord Krishna, Riddhi and Siddhi of Lord Ganesha and Devasena and Valli of Skandha/Kartikeya/Murugan. :D
Okay. I'll read your link. If I'm ever in the mood to start an Abhidhamma thread I will. Feeling a little intellectually fatigued at the moment. Unless you'd like to start one? Now- didn't you say in another thread you are favorable to a Theravadan thinker who calls Buddhagosa into question?

Well of course Abhidhamma could still be right, I suppose- even if Buddhagosa was wrong concerning some things about it.

I have my own issues with Buddhagosa that have nothing to do with Abhidhamma. He was one of the first Buddhist thinkers to introduce strong prejudices, attempting to use atomism as the vehicle.

I am not calling the Venerable Shariputra into question, if indeed Abhidhamma comes through him. I do not know that it does.

Venerable Shariputra is the Buddha's most esteemed disciple for us Mahayanists- well of course, after Venerable Subhuti.

Venerable Subhuti is credited with special knowledge of his own in Mahayana, which is a rather interesting comparison between the vehicles.

In the Theravada tradition, Sariputta is probably the highest regarded. In fact, Sariputta is the speaker of several suttas in the Sutta Pitaka. Okay, about to go internet dark for a bit. I will be around...

Yes. Hermes is the god I have felt most connected to since I was a child. I have his symbol (the one you posted and is in your religion line) tattooed on my chest.

Have you ever read D'aulaires Book of Greek Myths? I first came across it when I was a kid in my elementary school library. Changed my life. The art in it is beautiful and has shaped how I picture the gods. The D'aulaires also did a book on Norse Myths that is fantastic.

I'll have to check it out. Mercury/Hermes is the main archtype used in my Luciferian order (actually a Mercurian Order.)
Thanks for the follow Von Bek! But may i ask, how can you type? Don't your paws go everywhere on the keyboard? Or do you just smash some letters until it becomes a coherent response? I think the latter ;)

I communicate with a biped who types my words out. Any mistakes or factual errors you spot in my posts are his fault! ;)
