  • Your face isn't that bad. I've already told several lady friends of mine that when you come to visit, I will introduce you to them, provided they take a couple tranquilizers before they meet you. If your face were really bad, I would naturally need to insist on their taking four or six tranquilizers. So look on the bright side! Your face is a god given savings on their medical costs! I am all but certain they will be extremely grateful to you for that.
I woke up this morning a bit down in the dumps. Then, I realized that life is not all bad for I am still better looking than Badran! So thank you for cheering me up!
Well I hope it all goes well. I know you can handle yourself. Just always be true to yourself. That isn't always easy no matter where we are, but its worth it
Thanks for the speechless frubal.... That is pretty much where I am at right now.
Just listening, listening, listening for what will come assuredly.
No worries, Bud. It took me a few minutes of searching/reading to find it at the bottom of the thread as well. :D
But out of hundreds of people so far coming through our doors, one family registering a complaint is a number I can live with right now. We have a very good retention rate, but there is a buzz around the city. People are coming into the studio now wanting to sign up, and when I ask them where they heard of us, they say, "Oh, I really don't know. Just heard about you all here and there."

We've broken even or been just under for a few months now. Things look hopeful for us to survive the first building years. I am looking forward to when I can pay myself, too. :D

    How have you been?
We will be celebrating our first anniversary of being in operation in mid-July. The staff is happy and inspired. And I only had one family I needed to kick out because of how they were treating the staff. Only one family left because of dissatisfaction, but my response(s) to them were left alone. I had attempted to contact them after they left a message to me saying they were extremely upset, but nothing was ever communicated before or after that message. Apparently they were also members of the fitness gym we share the space with, and nobody has seen them there either.

I think something else was going on there, and they wanted a reason to leave.
I tell you what else is really cool.....I had two adults arguing with each other - PASSIONATELY - about what they see is the REAL mission behind Rush Studio of Dance. One kept arguing that it encourages individual growth and protects its dancers, as well as fostering a healthy stage and dancer image. The other kept arguing that it's the highest quality of instruction for the most reasonable cost. I was stumped on whether or not I should intervene with a corny, "Hey, look folks....you're BOTH right! Heh heh heh..." :D
It's cute, but what is your smiley doing? Airing out your armpits? Standing up and doing the wave? Being held at gunpoint? Context really helps.

Thanks so much for asking, B. I have been busy (when am I not?) with the studio. We keep growing and doing more things for our students. We jump WAY forward, and then inch back a bit. Then we jump WAY forward again, and then inch back. Sounds so incredibly awesome because "YAY GROWTH", but with that growth comes the dilemma on how to effectively meet demand. We have had all kinds of feedback and suggestions from our patrons and staff, some have worked, and some haven't. The cool thing is that everyone is communicating with each other all around.
