  • Salaam sister,

I am sorry to hear that you have had bad experiences with some Muslims. I know this to be true as well as there are many among us who would rather focus on our divisions rather than similarities. As a student I know it can be hard to reach out to so many different types of Muslims who would rather form their own groups.

I hope you come to find those who live a better more humble life.

    Best Regards.
i am of albanian nationality, born in macedonia currently living in australia, confusing right. lol

i have to go unfortunately, i will be back in maybe an hour or 2, i have to pray and go have some dinner, i will reply to your private message, thank you for it. all the best to you.
I'm actually quite curious with the Shakti sect. I grew up Vaishnava but I find myself incorporating beliefs from all sectors. I guess I am an eclectic Hindu!
Are there temples near where you live?
I do not plan on learning them. First I need to master Italian and Spanish. Maybe one day. I currently live quite far away from the closest temple. I've been to a number of beautiful temples. When I move to the city I will start attending again.

So which form of Hinduism are you attracted to? Have you been going to any temples? What attracted you to start exploring Hinduism?
I cannot speak Hindi but I know a number of prayers and songs in Hindi and Sanskrit. I own a bunch of saris and gopi skirts. Wearing them and getting all dressed up with bindis and bangles was one of the perks of going to temple!
If you are a seeker then you are already a Hindu :D
After all, Hinduism is about practising to Realise reality, not just having faith. We're all on the search :)
There are some of Indian decent here. Just not many. There are even a couple from/living in India.
I grew up in a Hindu family, but my dad is a Christian priest now. He is some mix of Hindu and Christian.
That is quite an interesting story/life! I wish you well in this new exploration. And also that we can become good forum friends :)
Yay! I've been hoping for more Hindu girls to show up!
So tell me something about yourself. Where are you from? Were you born into a Hindu family?
    Hi! And welcome to RF!
Yes, I actually created a thread about it, lol. But in that thread I discovered that there is one other Hindu female here, she just isn't very active.
Yeah, it's not beneficial to take things to the extremes. Everything in moderation, including moderation. :D
Lucky! My favourite candies are "Wine Gums", which have gelatine. I haven't had any for so long either. Boo!
I have no idea, I've heard differing opinions on it. Some people think it shouldn't be eaten, others think it's okay. Confusing, really. :D
