  • We don't have any ginger I don't think, but I know we have plenty of lemon juice. :D
I've always wanted to try lemon juice in korma, but I think it may just be because I'm not all there in the head. :D
We're missing coriander and tumeric, I'll get some next week though :D
We always get onions, every week. It's weird, because I hate onions in Western food.. :D
Hehe, I'll have to try :D It's just been, finding a base and good spices that I've struggled with (I don't want to make something that's gross)! And I'm poor. :D

Ask your dad what he uses for me! :D

I'd especially love to learn how to make korma, masala, and naan bread. Especially cheese naan or p.. puh... puhpuhpuhpuh.. I forget its name except it starts with a p and is a vege naan. It's sweet.. and yummy :D
Hehe, yeah it is a big deal. It's like "wow.. where have you been all my life?!" :D

I'd love to meet with Indians and discuss food and philosophy and stuff, but I generally don't go out anywhere most of the time, and none of the local Indians I do talk to like the ones in charge of the takeaway or the local shops will tell us how to make any Indian food. Meanies. :D
Admittedly, I didn't stay too long - I didn't stay for the speech or anything (I'm not sure what time it is), but I stayed in the room and meditated for about 35 minutes. I dunno if I stayed too long though, because EVERYONE who was originally in the room when I was there was gone when I finally left. :D

Sounds like you had fun with the prayers and stuff! I think all sermons bore people to death. :D

Veg is working out decently. I discovered we have vegetarian cans of curry (real Indian curry, I think) in the Sainsburys nearby, 2 for £2, so I got. :D Not the healthiest thing because it's not made from scratch, but stuff I can stomach because it's not so bland! I actually add more peas to it and a little paprika. :D

I need to learn how to make Indian food. :D

I'm not completly vege yet, but my meat-eating has decreased dramatically. I'm starting to look forward to vegetarian dishes - and when I have meat, I kinda dread it (and eat the veg first)! :D
Hehe, I'm all good. :) Spiritual search is still going. I recently went to a Hindu mandir! I saw we had one, and we (wife, kids and myself) went there the same day. :D Though I must admit, it's a bit far from me, opposite end of the city! They had some kind of festival on, I think. Durga or Lakshmi's. It was in mid/late August if I recall correctly :D I'm not very good with dates!

I've been to the local Sikh temple a few times too - I went during Diwali, which was quite interesting - it was so full. :D

How did you celebrate Diwali? :)
no problem :) i can't be on-line very often either. Good to hear from you though. take care :)
