Yeah, a few neighborhoods around here are where trafficking is the worst. Women and children just disappear without a trace, but the residents know what's happened to them. We've been in contact with a few area attorneys who work with the FBI in capturing hotel rooms with the St. Louis landscape in the background through the windows. It's become a way for the trafficking and prostitution rings to be found and their whereabouts.

CAMP does SOOOOO much for these residents. They're not the hipster "ooh what a neat-looking neighborhood to have a coffee shop in" kind. It's the residents who daily see drug users and sellers, the crackhouses for the forgotten, and the prostitutes who are trying their best to stay alive another day. The kids at CAMP get food, bikes, classes, medicine, etc. and the activists there are hard-edged, who chuckle and nod when Abby Hoffman is brought up as if to say, "Dude, that's so old news. Catch up, now, we have work to do."
Business is great. More expansion coming.

Family has two kids grown and gone with two more making plans to move out at 18. Husband and I are planning our hobby farm in the county just north of us where we can retire and expire.

    New boyfriend is exquisite.

Activism has exploded in recent weeks. Ferguson opened my eyes to more than I thought possible. And the feminist organization I helped with spearheading is nearly 500 strong with offshoot rape crisis center, free domestic violence shelter and counseling psychological and legal, and fundraising for area family planning services in the most economically depressed districts.

What is cool is that underground free media has been picking up on our activism, and we are not to be messed with.

We have been getting more involved with attempts to alleviate trafficking since it's a HUGE problem in St. Louis.
Hey, remember when you asked me about this place...C. A. M. P. | The Community, Arts, & Movement Project exists to empower creative expression, and celebrate interconnection.

I've been doing a LOT more work with them as of late. :)

How have you been? Nice to see you back!
I am not int he position where I will have to work or anything thankfully. I am not bragging but I am in a well off enough family where this won't be an issue. I only intend on working during the summer next year though
8 classes, damn. I just started after 1 year of failures. Universities are such screw ups. So I now have to attend a community college.
Although because of my background I was able to attend my first year as a community college entirely free :D
I did leave RF until I accidently logged back on :D. I have been busy with college so I have not had the time
