Thank you for sharing the information, such a terrible tragedy the Sikhs have suffered!
In your opinion, could one be a Sikh and not follow kesh - and is there any time when one can be excused from growing hair, for example, if they have an allergy to their hair/beards or something else?

I agree, that's a beautiful verse.
There is so much beauty in the Guru Granth Sahib, though, that it's difficult to pick just 1 verse for a signature.

One’s soul is continually reborn until liberated by the Grace of God, at which time the soul merges with God (Guru).
