  • I could kick you until you fall down (there's the massage). The happy ending would be where I'm standing on top of you while listening to you beg for mercy. :D
Kids start school. Chamber of Commerce meetings and functions. The "Meet and Greet" with elected officials is next Monday. Auditions for the show "Assassins" is coming up soon. And I need to look for more available space for the studio.

So, short answer, yes. Well, sort of big. Nothing I can't handle, though.

How's your landscaping coming along, babe? Making progress?
I laughed again when I read I threw beer at Jay. That was after he was being nice to me in the thread. I'm such a *****......
Be honest. You love it so much you can't stand it.

But if you actually hated it at all, why not walk away? No skin off my back, baby. :p
    LOL

Just stopped by for a few minutes. We had a severe storm roll through that messed up a few of my plans. Tomorrow's another day though.

Btw, glad you're enjoying the teasing. ;)
On the home front, yes. Studio wise, a little. I made an appointment with the realtor for the Wildey Theatre, discussed my goals for a few minutes on the phone while he told me the city's goals for a few minutes (the city now owns the theater and wants a return on their investment), had to let go of that one space I really really wanted because the owners have become too difficult to get a hold of and I hate chasing people around.

I cleaned the kitchen because it was getting disgusting. Then I went over a vague timeline with Dana about her schoolwork until Christmas. So yeah, not too bad of a day so far. I might head out with Tyler for a bit to finish school shopping with him.

How be your day so far? The damn heat is terrible here. Any better in your area?
LOL I know what you mean....here's a normal after-production meet and greet from patrons:

Me - "What did you think of the show?"
Them - "Oh, it was GOOD!"
Me - "Fabulous. How did you think it was good?"
Them - "I just really liked it!"
Me - (getting a little impatient) "OK, what did you like about it?"
Them - "Well, you know, it was just really neat."
    Me - (throws shoe)

Well, that's not exactly how it happens. Sometimes I throw other things at them.

I've got to get going for the day. More things to get done. Kiss kiss.
    Thanks. You're all right too.....for a stalker.

Now you know how it feels to be followed around like this. :p

Keep up the good work with your music. I'd like to take the time to listen to your other songs more in depth.
That's interesting that you were able to discuss your intentions without wanting specifically to talk about "what you meant." (*nudge nudge*).....I think as artists we do have a tendency to go from some sensory experience that either disturbed us or inspired us and attempt to put that experience on our canvas wondering how our lens is used as a magnifying glass or a filter for others. See, when you brought up the repeating sections as a marker for cyclical emotions, I didn't catch that when i listened to it, but I can see your intent now. How you layered your elements is what emotionally lead me to expanding my scope in that "mirror" I described. What's also noteworthy is the end, that even though the score diminishes, I still felt expanded and not lead back to my limited and narrow personal view. In a way, it was as if the outer world became that mirror of my inner world. Like taking off the mask, and seeing how much alike I am to what I see around me.
Ah....Now I know what it is that I really like about your style. I always have had a taste for dystopian futuristic story-telling that point out our struggles with reconciling our humanity with our environment and our technology. Your music sounds like a perfect backdrop for a "Terminator" / "Blade Runner"-like film or stage production. There's an honesty there about our current human condition.....our sensuality, our sense of progress, our innovations, and our changes in communication and social identity.

Listening now again to Wavefront is like putting a mirror up and looking closely at it while backing away slowly. It's as if I'm seeing "me" and all my goodness and all my flaws, and then expanding the scope to include looking at all that surrounds me, and having the same emotional perspective.

There's more in there. But I think I've been able to embellish a bit on one of the visuals I get when I listen.
