  • Hey, about your technical issues, is it your computer? Have you thought about annoying it back? I have a feeling that if you combine back sweat with duct tape that any person alive as well as inanimate objects will recoil in fear.
Choice of locations......Parking is an issue for me. I like to have a spot where the patrons don't have to worry as much about getting in and out of the plaza (if it's not a stand-alone building). High traffic sounds great and all, but I am concerned about the number of children coming in and out of the building after thinking about it. So I am re-evaluating how I presented it in my business plan.

As far as the layout of the space, I'd prefer a more square open space than the rectangular store-front "shotgun" look. High ceilings don't matter TOO much, but it certainly gives a "grand" feeling that is a plus in any theatrical setting. There are two locations out of my preferred four that have high ceilings.

All in all, I'm thinking about visiting them all on Friday since I have the business plan tomorrow, and then Thursday I'm teaching ballet classes and a musical theatre workshop. I'd like to go inside and really get a feel for the spaces.
Ah, demon cat possession. I certainly won't dismiss the possibility.

I just got back from looking at 13 different locations in Edwardsville for the studio. I've narrowed it down to 3, possibly 4, different places. My head is spinning from the possibilities, love. Tomorrow I'm heading out to the university campus entrepreneur office since there's a possibility I might qualify for a small grant that they'll match to double the capital. They'll also put me in touch with their in-office attorney and look over my business plan to ensure I got all the data. Great thing is....it's free. (whoot)

How has your day been? Any relief from the heat?
Back at ya. Not everyone understands my humor, either.

THAT must be why I never received the RF Humor Award! I GET it!

    You're a sweetheart, btw. :hugkiss:
Great Aunt Nellie is 92 and has been sort of the matriarch-de-facto on my grandfather's (deceased) side of the family for a long time. We're all semi-close and keep each other up to date on things online, but just letting you know that she's full-blooded Greek should give you enough of an idea to know just how doting, probing, loving, and all-around gregarious woman she is. She's stable right now, but she can't talk, so she has a round the clock caregiver with her at her and my great-uncle Ted's condo (they've been together for 75 years).

And today, my grandmother's cat is being put to sleep because he can't even stand up anymore. I rescued him back in '93 and cared for him before I left for NYC. So this has been quite a few days for me psychologically. You know, cherishing every moment and all.

Sorry about the heat out there. It's been brutal.
Any kind of sandwich as an answer to something is rather.....odd. I like sandwiches. Don't get me wrong. But they need to know their place.

Poor couch. But you still need to get your butt off it and do something. It needs to move on as well. :p

My great aunt had a stroke Friday, and we had a reunion near Chicago that was cancelled. So Saturday I saw one of my girlfriends from college I hadn't seen in a few months, and yesterday I took Tyler and Dana to the waterpark (the park offered a two-hour special for families with children and adults with disabilities - $5 per person).......and I was sufficiently soaked to the bone. Had a ton of fun racing down the mega-slides with them and an older woman with Down's syndrome who wanted nothing more than to race down the slide with us. All in all, we had a blast yesterday.
I don't want to sound like a braggart, because ultimately what happens is a very notorious reputation, especially with women. I'm a ***** and a "whore." Oh well. It's not the end of the world, is it? :p
Eventually I went to another side of the bar, and he came up to me and asked if we could talk. So I pointed him toward a hallway close by and led him there. He said, "How could you say that to me? You don't even know me, so how could you say that to me here in front of everybody?"

I told him he's nothing special, that he just needed to get over himself, and go have a drink and have some fun. He followed me around like a puppy dog all night. Steve told me that he'd seen this guy being Mr. Cassanova for a long time until he talked to me for five minutes.
I figure I'm not being as sexy as I really want to be unless I make grown men cry.

All right, I have to share this short story - one night out at a club, I was at the bar. Now Steve and I are open (if you haven't been aware), so he doesn't mind when I flirt. I zeroed in on this guy who seemed to have it all: looks, charisma, brains.....we started talking and I somehow hit a soft spot with him and kept pummelling him with it. I think if I remember correctly that I told him he ultimately wanted nothing more than for a mama-type woman to hold him at night because he fears most being alone. (continued)
    *dreamy sigh*

Your mouth firmly rooted on my.......

    *another dreamy sigh* :flirt:

Now go get something to drink.
Then use deep breathing and think about baseball or something before standing up. You trying to tell me you lack that much control over parts of your own body?
