No... the idea that they are called "totems" or that people have "animal totems" is a new age idea. Spirit guides are way older and found in almost every culture. Each nation had their own ideas about exactly how you deal with and relate to them but they were rarely limited to just animals.
"First Nations" is a personal preference, it's a term most commonly used in Canada and cross border communities but it's interchangeable with Native American... you can use it all you want.
I know a couple of things about them. It's roughly akin to heraldry in Europe, each clan, family, tribe has as a totem that watches over it. It's a sign of lineage and the origin of the particular group. Some totems are even abstract shapes/symbols with personal meaning to the group (or representing a respected leader).
New Age people have taken the term and made it into something else... a sort of personal spirit helper. Essentially, the exact opposite of the First Nations understanding of the concept.
Slap all you want. It won't make you any less smelly.

BTW: I have eye-rays? Cool. That must make me some sort of superhero. An X-Penguin, maybe. :)
    Haha, thanks. :D

And no problem at all, take your time. Its best this way anyway, more time to rest my brain. :D
Hey there Meow Mix. I just want to comment on something you said publicly about wantin more curves in your figure. I'm 59 years old and have been with women of all kinds of figures! Having more curves doesn't make you a better women, it's what's in your heart and how you treat others that really matters most. I enjoy reading your post very much. You are a very intellegent lady for your years, not to mention damn good looking!! Take Care.

Thanks for the frubes. It made me realize how terribly bad I worded that post... so I had a chance to go and fix it. =]
I have the demo... and not really any time for games this weekend. Going to the movies tonight, then martial arts Saturday, and auto racing silliness Sunday.

Actually, you should come on Sunday. I was trying to convince Bird to race her minivan before - the two of you could carpool up here. :)
