  • I hear if you play a Sarah Palin speech backwards, you can hear her form grammatically correct sentences.
Yeah sure. I've always wanted to become a physicist.
I'm an engineer btw:) (Something not to be too much proud of though!)
    I try... ;)
Physics is a fun field... I'm lucky to have a few friends who are physicists. I don't mind admitting that they can make me feel very under educated... but I suppose I do the same when we talk about my areas of expertise...
**** me, those are some clever kids. As long as i can do astronomy without Maths coming up and confusing me every time, it's all good :D I care for nothing else but Astronomy.
Well... just realize that maths are one of those subjects where it's as hard as you think it is and make it out to be. (I have to remind myself of this all the time!)
More power to you... you can do a lot of astronomy with very little maths! Who knows, you can get a major asteroid in your name... or something weirder... if high school kids can do it, so can you. :D

Lucky you :D I think it just that it is set into my mind that i am bad at maths. Well, maybe one day i will grasp the maths behind and physics and become the most famous astronomer in the world :D
lol... I don't know that I'd go that far... :D
Physics is a great field... I'm much better with the concepts than the math parts behind it... fortunately I have a good friend who is an astrophysicist who is always willing to explain things to me.
Kewl :D You seem to be great with everything! I am particularly interesting in Physics (mostly outer space) but i am terrible at maths, so i don't know what to do there.
Right now general Biology. I'm hoping to specialize in comparative anatomy and paleontology later on.
I've done some summer research work in physiology (circadian rhythms/bio-clocks) and this summer I'm doing some experimental ecology.
    Hello painted wolf,
I just wanted to say "Hi" and commend you for the posts of yours that I've seen. You display a strong intellect, and an uncanny ability to remain calm regardless of the proverbial storm of spittle flying from keyboards of some of the more incensed posters here.
It is very nice to have this forum where difficult topics can be discussed, and even nicer that quite a few posters, such as yourself, who are on the side of sanity.
    Kudos!

Some days I just don't know how long it will take folks on this planet to learn to live together. I just tried to move in with my gorgeous next door neighbor but she called the cops on me! Where's the hope for our species in that?
