According to them, the viruses damaged a buttload of stuff on our hard drive. And they used Linux to clean it all out and to update our security system. HOWEVER, because the basic Windows operating system was so badly damaged, our hard drive is "putting up a fight" with them.
We've been very happy with them these last couple of years, so this is the first time our patience has been tested.

Believe it or not, Mat.......no.
Our computer might be out for the next few days. It was REALLY messed up, so the guys are having to reinstall the entire Windows program to make sure that it doesn't stall every time they run a scan.
At least, that's what I remember from the message I got today on the status of our computer. Heather is still in limbo for now.
*le sigh* I could use a Big Squishy Hug right now.
