Strong Atheism merely refers to the degree of certainty one disbelieves in God. In that sense, the Buddha was certain that God didn't exist, thus he is technically a "Strong Atheist." And you can find proof of that in the Tittha Sutta, Culla Vagga, and the Lankavatara Sutra.
And no, you must be ******* insane to think that the Buddha was a Hindu. He rejected the core Hindu doctrine of both the Atman and the Brahman. He taught that there is no soul and there is no God. He was especially known for rejected the cast system. I can show you verses where the Buddha even condemned the Hindu belief of Atman union with Brahman.
