  • No, I don't believe in magick. The notion that humans can manipulate the physical world through spells, incantations or whatever is, to me, another example of our arrogance as a species. The only way magick works is at the level of the individual - the magician may increase his/her confidence or attention to a particular issue through the use of spells, but the spell itself does not work (imo).
I have no idea! I regard myself as an atheist, but also someone who holds Nature sacred and worthy of respect. That sacredness has nothing to do with a god-concept, though. I think that's where it may differ from pantheism. To me Nature just is.
If I get this correctly, pantheists believe that everything is 'god', yes? If so, what is the difference between thinking everything is god and nothing is god?

Thanks for starting up this conversation.:)
I'm doing good, as is the process.

I'm waiting for the conversion classes to begin and regularly attend services. I really enjoy Torah study with our rabbi, and my two youngest kids go with me most Sabbaths. All in all, it's a good place to be right now.:D

Thanks for asking! How have you been? I noticed you've changed to Reform Judaism.
Aye Brother. How goes the Quest for Truth and Meaning?
I mean, finding a Path for you that helps you uncover these?
    Cheers!
Father! I have a personal question to ask:
How are you my father if you're younger than me?
