    Very cool. I looked for Karaite communities near me too and they don't seem to exist. I've been looking for books on Amazon and B&N too and there seem to be a few but I'm afraid they'll be longwinded like a textbook. Have you looked at Karaite Korner - Home of the World Karaite Movement! ? I found that site over the weekend and it seems to have a decent amount of info - though it's hard to judge how accurate it is in representing Karaism as a whole.

    Wow, xkatz what a coincidence! I've just been reading up one Karaite Judaism this last week and thinking how much more I seem to relate to that form of Judaism as opposed to traditional with all of the rabbinical stuff meshed in. What made you decided to go in that direction? What sources have you been using? PM me if you want to talk more. :)
