  • That's kinda vague. I try to find balance and peace. Acceptance with a health amount of doubt, cynicism with at least some faith in at least some people, more personally embracing / dealing with depression, addiction, and pain without letting them rule my life. Every time I realize that my depression is causing negative thoughts that are not real, every time that I admit I suffer from addiction, I am striving towards self perfection.

For me, mysticism is simply recognizing that everything is connected at the fundamental level, embracing the flow of nature, and seeking experience and understanding.
It's "Oseburg Buddha", a small statue they found of a man who looks like he's meditating in Norse lands. :D
Right on, maybe you can do some local traveling this summer. Be a tourist in your own area :)
Where would you like to go next summer?
I agree that on the job/face to face stuff is so important. My Wife was a non-traditional student so I was often meeting younger folks. What surprised me was meeting 24 yr old graduate students that never did ANYTHING but school... not even volunteering more than mandatory requirements. In other words, good on you! :) You stay at school over the summer or going back to MD?
Oh I'm doing well man. Living in a new city in Canada w/ my Wife, cat and beard. We are all enjoying our new location. How are you doing these days? What's good? What's new?
