WOW, I have never met a creationist here in Aust. The only people here that are even remotely religeous are the old generation 60yrs+.
If i ever was to meet one, I'd have a hard time restraining myself from beating the crap out of them for the way they treat the lifes work of countless good...
You seriously don't need tumbleweed to make you look stupid.
Education is not just for the elite. There is nothing stopping you (besides your ignorance, lazyness and lack of mental constitution) from looking up each one of those dating methods and learning exactly how they work.
Please...
Did you even read the question?
I asked for a practical application. You know, something useable. something we can apply to build something to help us fly to mars, or cure cancer, or burn toast faster... ANYTHING!
The question still stands.
Hey biblestudent, I see you answered gnostic's questions but avoided mine (on page one).
I hope this wasn't intentional. It's an important question that I still haven't heard a good answer for.
Help me out.... if you can.
I think the OP is missing the point.
The real beauty of science is in its practical application. Biologists use the theory on a daily basis. A great biologist once said "Nothing in biology makes sense.... except in the light of evolution".
Just about all the research going on today is funded...
hahaha indeed!
Has anyone noticed any correlation between creationism and geographical location?
Do these people all live in the United States? (I mean no offence to americans, just asking).
The fact that they are interested in this subject shows some level of intelligence. Real morons wouldnt give the topic a moments thought.
Sometimes I think these people are actually lying on purpose to recruit the real morons into thier flock. If that really is the case... it's not very...
Hehehe yeah I've noticed. I'm new to this forum, but i've been trying to "un-brainwash" people like this for many years now. This guy just frustrates me more than most as he is obviously not stupid. If only that brain power could be used for something constructive.
I dont understand why he...
I agree. It depends on your criteria for success.
If you look at energy expenditure over distance travelled, teleosts (bony fish) leave us for dead when it comes to efficiency.
It is incredibly arrogant for us to think we are the most successful organisms on the planet.
Humans are the...
I'm glad you said this. This is the part that really annoys me.
Creationists have no problem whatsoever enjoying the fruits of scientific achievement but as soon as evolution comes into it.... it's world war 3!
Science is merely a tool for explaining and understanding the obsevations of the...
You're right, I didnt need to be cynnical as he will probably never read my reply.
It is however hard to keep a cool head if you read this whole 30+ pages. Especially when this guy claims to be a scientist and to use the scientific method (which he got from a grossly oversimplified diagram)...
..........Wow!
You know this do you?
Forget Jesus, people should worship you instead!
If i sacrifice my 1st born son to you, will you tell me where the last 2% are hiding?
I understand your point also but, a scientific theory only needs to explain one thing. That's why we have both.
Evolution = the diversity of life
Abiogenesis = the origin of life
The theory of gravity doesnt need to explain the big bang even though its clearly related.
The interesting part is that natural selection pressures are changing in a new direction for possibly the first time ever.
Historically, genes for running fast or good at throwing spears would have been favoured by the female of our species. Imagine what they are looking for now days!
Care to put a reference next to that claim?
I've never read about anyone doing that experiment.
It would interest many biologists as, (from memory) chimps are the only other ape with the same chromosome count as us. It would probably work!
