    Which Religion is For Me?

Coolkeg Why do you need a label to adhere to? Why do you need a 'religion'? Surely what counts is what you feel about yourself, nature and the people you are close to? You don't need a label. I, for the purpose of filling in a box here, call myself an atheist pagan because I don't believe in...

    Finding Your Way In Paganism

Lightstorm A good place to start is with your ancestry or where you are from. Often, the ways chosen by those before you will come through because they are to do with the land you are from and your culture.

Any Bodhran Players Here? Did You Find it Hard to Learn?

Try also Steafan Hannigan's DVD, The Bodhran DVD, to accompany the book. I learned a lot by watching his technique. Triplets are hard to play, but once you 'let go', they come naturally. I found that by not focussing on them or trying too hard, they just happened and can now play them reasonably...

Do all Pagans believe in literal deities?

Interesting. I also am drawn to the Green Man and see him as a powerful symbol of Nature. I have a clay plaque of him on my front door, and all the local kids think it's the devil!

Do all Pagans believe in literal deities?

Thanks to all above who responded to my question. As I've just said to Gentoo, perhaps I'm looking "too hard" or from the wrong angle.

Do all Pagans believe in literal deities?

I like your answer, Gentoo. Perhaps I'm just adopting too much of an empirical approach to what is ultimately subjective.

Do all Pagans believe in literal deities?

Okay, I agree about the archetypes always being available, because they are in your head and personify your experiences, but if I am open to real deities, what's stopping them from making themselves known to me? This is why I describe myself as an atheist. I'm open to the possibility of deities...

    Do dogs feel love?

Yes, I thought it a rather strange position to take as well. To many people, there is a sharp divide between humans and all other animals. This is especially the case for those that don't accept evolution. To me, it is obvious that morality and love exists in some other animals - it is the...
