    Big bang theory?

I do think it's somewhat within topic given the context of this forum to debate claims of anachronistic knowledge from religious scripture concerning the Big Bang. It's just ridiculous, there is no evidence for such information in Genesis. Birds coming before land animals, etc...

    Big bang theory?

Wishful thinking of the ancient Jews (they did that a lot what with all the stories of them impacting Egypt when in reality they weren't even noticed by that mighty Pagan empire) and a major example of self-fulfilling prophecy.

    Big bang theory?

So multicellular plant life existed for how long before the Sun which powers it could shine down to do so? Apparently you don't accept the literal 24hr day. You are adding all kinds of vegetables to the stone soup of Genesis to make it palatable. There's in reality just stones and water, you...

    Big bang theory?

According to Genesis - The Earth and multi-cellular plant life on it 3rd day; the Sun, other stars, and Earth's moon 4th day; sealife and flying life 5th day; land beasts 6th day. No matter how you look at it, completely totally incorrect.

What does the fossil record say?

What does WIlsoncole's last post have to do with the fossil record or anything of substance in fact?

What does the fossil record say?

Newhope's so called "definition" of' Kinds' certainly failed to define any extinct form from the fossil record, maybe Wilsoncole's definition can be more useful? Since there are fossil forms ancestral to two different modern 'Kinds' (dogs and bears for example) this could be interesting.

    Big bang theory?

Besides, Sagan said it previous to applying it to his character.

    Big bang theory?

Belief in 'The Devil' is about the most spiritually retarded aspect of religion I can think of. Totally off topic to this thread though. The Big Bang wasn't fleshed out via any article of faith, it was the logical conclusion derived from observation backed by mathematics. The idea any...

What does the fossil record say?

Now he expects whole Classes of Animalia to form before his very eyes. Just another creationist strappin' rollerskates to those goal posts.
  15. DeistPrimate

What does the fossil record say?

Because forms ancestral to insects and crustaceans are found in the Cambrian some 400 million years prior to 90 million years ago and taxonomists using comparative anatomy would have made the classification.

What does the fossil record say?

Insects were already an ancient Class 92 million years ago.

    Big bang theory?

You continue to ignore the fact Genesis clearly states the earth and seed bearing plants on it came before the sun and other stars which is just nuts.
  19. DeistPrimate

    Big bang theory?

No but the Torah / Old Testament says the earth and even seed bearing plants on it existed before the Sun and other stars and you're claiming these texts contain anachronistic scientific knowledge which is obviously bull pucky. :::gives man hug anyway:::

    Big bang theory?

No since one is real while the other isn't.
