Human herding instinct - most noticeable among the many atheists in the rich parts of the world.

Stalin did things HIS WAY. Did he live a good life then ? He said; "Death always has the last word." Atheists are happy to agree with him - religious people are certain he was wrong. Mind you, Stalin may feel the same way himself, now.

    Children and Religion

We have a choice between good and evil. As a matter of cause & effect, those who choose to be eternally good, are engulfed by good things; those who choose to be eternally evil are engulfed by evil things. Your existence from second-to-second is entirely dependent on God - and as you do exist...

    Children and Religion

It is obvious that God exists. As we are partly spiritual beings, it is very likely that the supernatural and an afterlife exist

I'm hearing a lot of ignorant crap on Catholic radio these days.

In human beings, homosexual behaviour is against God's Order. Pornography corrupts people - making it likelier they will commit acts of violence.

The Catholics venerate the Virgin Mary and "saints" a lot.

No - the RCC believes that its Sacred Tradition and the Bible are of equal authority.

    The Power Of Circular Reasoning

Human beings don't come back to life again, once dead. But as Jesus was God as well as a human being.... After His resurrection, Jesus ascended to Heaven because His earthly mission was complete.

Nowhere in the Bible does it say or infer that mary the Mother of Christ...

Murder is an act, as well as a legal term. The pouch is part of the mother's body ? - yes, but the foetus inside (however dependent on the mother) is not.

Nowhere in the Bible does it say or infer that mary the Mother of Christ...

The Trinity - God as triune - is implied throughout the Gospels. Mary does not, of course, form part of it.

Nowhere in the Bible does it say or infer that mary the Mother of Christ...

Yes - but all the stories are literally true, not mere metaphors.

"It's reasonable to realise that people are going to commit murder whether it's legal or not" - so should we legalise murder, then ? Science condemns your arguments: 1) We know when life begins (at conception) since there are scientific photographs from that point, of life beginning 2) We...

    The Power Of Circular Reasoning

There are many stories of death and resurrection, but few relating to actual human beings (rather than poetic figures like, say, Adonis). So examples, please, of Saviours who are both human and divine, who died to save us, then rose from the dead. The existence of such stories shows how high...

    The Power Of Circular Reasoning

The evidence for Jesus's resurrection is that people made the claim that it had happened (and in some cases died for that claim). As the claim is - at first sight - absurd, why would they have made that claim, unless it were true ? BTW there is no evidence whatsoever that the Resurrection did...

    The Power Of Circular Reasoning

Precisely; they weren't resurrected. - not being God, as Jesus is. Only Jesus has died for ALL humanity. Only Jesus's sacrifice continues to take effect in the present.

The Gospels state the Miracle of the Loaves and Fishes as exactly-narrated event, not as metaphor.

Nowhere in the Bible does it say or infer that mary the Mother of Christ...

Yes, but what is equitable ? Regarding the Abortion issue, for example.

Nowhere in the Bible does it say or infer that mary the Mother of Christ...

People claiming to be guided by he Holy Spirit often reach diametrically opposed conclusions. Which is why a visible teaching Church with Divine Authority is needed.

Nowhere in the Bible does it say or infer that mary the Mother of Christ...

It isn't stated, merely implied. Where is the doctrine of the Trinity stated explicitly in Scripture ? Mary's sinlessness is, however, stated by Catholic doctrine - which has equal divine authority as Scripture has.

Nowhere in the Bible does it say or infer that mary the Mother of Christ...

The Miracle of the Loaves and Fishes is a carefully-narrated event, not metaphor.

    Bringing Christianity into disrepute!

All sex outside traditional, monogamous heterosexual marriage is spiritually damaging to those who perform it. Thus warning those who have gay or non-marital relationships that they are harming themselves, is being kind. But being unpleasant towards the people themselves is cruel and wrong...
