There were not multiple Jesus(es)? there were multiple authors giving a perspective of the same Jesus. When Jesus told the parable of the servants, and the unprofitable servant, this had nothing to do with money, it was about saving souls of others. His last instructions to his followers...
I dont know anything about that. There are 2 ways to look at history. Organic history, reading what was being written by people at the time, or reading modern textbooks.
not know better. *think you know better. big difference. A lot more evidence supports what you consider sky fairy myth than any of the alternatives. But no one has proven anything so people can believe what they like
Some people (myself included) believe the case for limited govt comes from God. The people wanted a king, and God warned them that rule by a king would replace rule by God, would become totalitarian. (1 Sam 8:11) He warned the king would tax them severely, steal their property and enslave...
On paper yes. In the real world, the state is always, in every example in history, controlled by money powers.
Kind of. There are honest people who get into politics to make a difference, but they are soon corrupted, or removed if they wont be corrupted.
I wasnt even around most of the times...
The rich ARE the state. In all cases, in all times and places you will find the money controlling the power by one method or another. This is the case for limited govt. And the reason socialism fails every time. USA has the biggest govt in world history and the gap between richest and...
Since, all governments always have and always will be controlled by whoever has the most resources, thru a variety of methods- a powerful state will never benefit the weak. The only chance the weak have is to minimize the size and power of government, and then the rich have money, but not power.
You're assuming what I know and dont know? You complain about 'capitalism' which you can't define, and your best example of it is tons of misguided government regulations?
It seems like what you describe is the problem with international business. Not with business. If a company, business, corporate enterprise is extracting wealth from 10, 20, 150 countries, then which one is it loyal to? none. If their activities are destructive to one country, what do they...
But we don't have anything like that in any law, any founding document. How does this system come about? Or is capitalism the lack of a system, and we need a system of controls?
I appreciate the clarity. So once we eliminate the ability of people to start and run businesses, (which would include I assume, all agriculture unless you consume everything you grow, medical care except for volunteer work, delivery of goods, manufacture of goods for sale ) then the majority of...
To be honest, I still dont understand what capitalism is. If you ask 5000 people you get 5000 answers. No one can explain when it started, who started it, what law would eliminate it, what the world looks like it without it, which countries have it and which dont. It seems like its a catch...
