Gun regulations are perfectly constitutional. Heller even made that abundantly clear if you actually read the opinion. So, you might have to become a criminal depending on what kind of weapon you have.
Return fire means more wayward bullets. That's what I think we should avoid. Keep armed guards outside the school to make sure that bad actors don't even get in the door.
No, bad guys are not better shots. Where did you get that from. They are even worse shots, for the most part, which means even more wayward bullets flying around a school filled with children. Less guns = less wayward bullets.
I disagree. I think that, since evolution has made us social beings, we are inherently united. Things like religion, government, unsubstantiated beliefs, culture, etc. are what divides us.
Possibly, but there WILL be more casualties as a result. More bullets flying around mean more death. Even cop's accuracy drops to about 20% in those situations.
Emphasis should be on stopping them from getting high-powered rifles and stopping them from getting in the front door of schools. More guns in schools will mean more death if this happens again.
Only time will tell, buddy. But, remember, you only win if no physical wall is built. I never said it had to run the entirety of the southern border, and neither did Trump.
No. Trump has gone in so deep on this one, constantly bragging about how he is going to IN FACT build a physical wall, if he went back on this one, he would look stupid even to his followers.
I will take that wager, but I never suggested that Trump was saying that the wall would be continuous. That would be physically and legally impossible. I don't think he ever even made that promise.
Ok, and I am saying, putting more guns in schools will mean many more "immediate threats". Any gains from having "good", "trained" teachers with guns will be outweighed by the increase in threats by simply having more guns in a crowded school with thousands of kids.
You are basing this off nothing more than speculation. There is no evidence that Trump is or could ever think like that. He just wants to keep his followers in check and happy.
Not putting more guns in schools would be the obvious first step. Then make it more difficult to get high powered, high capacity weapons that are so hard to fight back against with handguns, but make sure that the police have ready access to them. Then use federal funds to reopen treatment...
You are conveniently ignoring the FACT that Trump has been repeatedly asked about it, and he ALWAYS says that he is referring to a physical barrier. They are testing wall designs as we speak. This is a real wall. I would have agreed with you 6 months ago, but now it has been made all to clear...
I think he believed it at that moment, but the man is not intelligent enough to have lasting positions/ideals/thoughts on any issues. He is so easily convinced, gullible, and falls for just about anything that remotely sounds like it is in his interest.
If you put guns in the hands of teachers, you will be putting guns in the hands of honorable teachers AND those hiding in the profession who are NOT decent people. Like every other profession, there are honorable teachers, there are cowardly teachers, and there are deplorable teachers. It's...
Why do you think it is reasonable to assume all of these things about what Trump is secretly thinking. What evidence, specific to Trump (because we all know he is nothing like any other past politician), do you have to support these assumptions. They seem completely unreasonable to me, as you...
