Seeing things in their past? You are full of beans!

That has nothing to do with how cesium clocks work.

Seeing things in their past? You are full of beans!

The oscillation of the cesium atom is determined by physical constants. Those physical constants are . . . . wait for it . . . CONSTANT. The only way for these cesium clocks to be out of sync is for time itself to tick at a different rate between frames of reference.

How we know that there was no Flood of Noah.

Your scenario requires the entire mantle of the Earth to circulate to the surface and somehow release superheated steam into the atmosphere. What you are describing would have killed all life on the surface of the Earth, including all life on any boat. It would have turned the entire surface...

How we know that there was no Flood of Noah.

It is just bad science. Hiding behind made up conspiracies and non-existent persecution doesn't make it into good science.

Seeing things in their past? You are full of beans!

So no comment on the reality of physics?

Where Do You Put Your Faith?

So how does the Holy Spirit affect things in the universe? What is the mechanism? What is this energy or force? What field does it interact with? What particles are associated with this force? The electromagnetic force interacts through photons. The weak force interacts through the W and...

    The Watchmaker Revisited

I was just giving my opinion, not a logical argument. In my opinion, natural explanations tend to be a better route for investigation than magical poofing. If you think my opinion is wrong, then please show me all of the discoveries we have made about the universe where magical poofing has...

Why doesn’t God communicate directly to everyone?

Again, that is an argument from popularity. Which views are you attributing to me?

The Creationist's Argument and its Greatest Weakness

That is an argument from popularity. That is a logical fallacy. At one time, the most highly educated people all agreed that the Sun moved about the Earth. That didn't make it true.

    New scientist Gregg Braden

How are the differences between humans and other apes beyond those limits? How did you determine this? Which genes in humans had no precursors?

    New scientist Gregg Braden

He could be talking about the chromosomal fusion that gave rise to human chromosome 2 (called 2a and 2b in the chimp genome). However, chromosomal fusions are entirely natural, so I am again scratching my head as to why Braden would think that it requires a miracle. There are even humans...

Seeing things in their past? You are full of beans!

You are not travelling at the speed of light. There is a lot of physics that is nonsensical, but it is also true. One of the first things you learn as a scientist is that you need to follow the data, not your own human bias.

Seeing things in their past? You are full of beans!

There is no difference between time and our measurement of it.

Seeing things in their past? You are full of beans!

For the something travelling at the speed of light there is no distance of one light year because length contraction is infinite at that speed.

Seeing things in their past? You are full of beans!

That makes sense. For an observer on Earth, the time it takes any object to reach the Sun from the Earth would get closer and closer to 500s as the object neared the speed of light since at the speed of light it takes 500s for anything to travel that distance from the Earth's frame of reference.

Made up stories are not a demonstration.

    New scientist Gregg Braden

Everyone is born with 50 to 100 point mutations, so I'm not sure why Braden thinks a specific point mutation is impossible. I am also curious why he would describe a point mutation as a "fusion". That sounds much more like a recombination event instead of a point mutation. Of course...

In What Way are Mutations Random?

Feel free to ask any questions. If nothing else, I could at least help you understand why scientists have concluded that mutations are random with respect to fitness.

What Causes or Motivates the Anti-scientists?

We were taught about Punnet squares in 6th grade in the usual, normal science class. I don't see why this would be beyond the intelligence of your average 9th grader. We also went through some simple human traits that have recessive and dominant alleles and used our own family history to...
