The Creationist's Argument and its Greatest Weakness

I never made any claims as to what is outside of our universe, and I have no position on what exists outside of our universe. So why ask for evidence? What we do know is what happened within this universe, and that includes expansion which is still ongoing and well evidenced. We also have...

The Creationist's Argument and its Greatest Weakness

What many of us find distasteful is the dogmatic position that whatever God commands has to be moral, no matter what it is. This can lead to all sorts of evil, as seen throughout history. You don't seem to be the dogmatic type, so don't think that I am criticizing you, and I think you also see...

    Atheist Activism

So words can mean whatever you want them to mean?

    Atheist Activism

I also find it impossible. Personally, I think it is much more productive to talk about the positive beliefs that people hold instead of trying to define them by what they don't believe. I tend to think that theists and atheists agree on a lot if we start talking about how both groups view the...

Its going to be a rough ride

There is also a high bar that has to be met in order to change the US Constitution which is a good thing. As US citizens we could throw out anything in the US Constitution if there were enough votes, so the majority can still be tyrannical, but I think most citizens see the value in protecting...

Its going to be a rough ride

The obvious solution is to run for office or become a journalist if you think it can be done better. Also, in what way do you think the media has been bought off? I think the larger problem is that the media depends on advertisements for income which leads to sensationalism, but I don't see...

Has who asserts for "existing” or "non-existing" of something actively to lift burden of proof?

Atheists are passionate people, just like anyone else. We atheists tend to be the minority in many cultures, including the US, and we tend to be misunderstood and misrepresented by the religious majority. The religious majority usually doesn't come to atheist forums to discuss atheism, so here...

    Atheism and Leperchauns-ism

Like I said before, I think we will have to agree to disagree. I don't see a reason to keep pounding the same points.

    Atheist Activism

A- means without. Amoral means without morals. Afebrile means without fever. Atonal means without tone. Atheism means without theism. Theism is a belief in gods. Atheism is therefore "without a belief in gods". That's how English works.

    Atheism and Leperchauns-ism

So do you want me to look at atheism in all of its entirety, or just the limited cases you think are most important?

    Atheist Activism

Atheism is a lack of belief in gods. The suffix A- means without, so it means without a belief in gods. You might as well say that an amoral person has morals. There is atheism in baseball. Does that make baseball atheistic?

    Atheism and Leperchauns-ism

I've demonstrated countless times that the only thing all atheists have in common is a lack of belief in deities. I guess we will just have to agree to disagree. So you tell me to look at atheism in its entirety, then you tell me to ignore the very thing that all atheists have in common in...

Poor Sarah Sanders, victim of persecution

I don't see it that way. If you dislike someone because they constantly lie to the American people that is one thing. Your sexual preference is part of who you are. They seem like very different things to me. Personally, I would serve both even though I very much detest what Sanders does on...

Its going to be a rough ride

I agree with a lot of what you are saying, but it is interesting how we complain about the very people we vote into power. I look at the government as an umpire or referee. A baseball game would be complete chaos if there weren't umps making decisions and making players abide by the rules...

    Atheist Activism

Atheism is a lack of belief. It's kind of hard to form a belief system on a lack of belief. Humanism does have positive beliefs in many ideas and tenets which is why it is a much better basis for a belief system.

Court case against Rosenstien and Mueller

Almost 20 intelligence agencies in the US all found that Russia meddled in the last US election, including the hacking of the DNC emails which were released to Wikileaks.. I think your country is in denial. Yes, 17 intelligence agencies really did say Russia was behind hacking

    The Evolution Chamber: Piltdown Man

It may be a problem. It really depends on how the chromosomes pair up, and the effect of extra chromosomes. For some humans, trisomy of some chromosomes is lethal while others cause disease (e.g. Down Syndrome). So I don't think there is a fast and hard rule when it comes to chromosome counts.

    Atheism and Leperchauns-ism

In this topic, I don't see how more information is going to change anything. If you think I am wrong, then spell it out. Atheism and aleprechaunism would be the parallels. Atheism is the lack f belief in gods and Aleprechaunism is the lack of belief in leprechauns. Then I have to wonder...

Court case against Rosenstien and Mueller

I haven't heard Mueller or Rosenstein make any accusations, other than the indictments they have already handed down which deal with money laundering and actual spying on the part of Russian spies. Do people in your country think Russia didn't meddle in the US elections?

Court case against Rosenstien and Mueller

Wouldn't Rosenstein and Mueller have to actually file charges of colluding with Russia in order for accusations of bias to mean anything? Surely it is within the power of the Depart of Justice to investigate something, and if nothing is there then no charges will be filed.
