I find myself asking myself: If ignorance is bliss, then should we destroy it with reason?

Is there a single shred of evidence against naturalism?

When did I do that? Nothing Exists--> Self Exists --> Physical Universe may or may not exist but we should act as thought it does. In order to believe in something other than than the universe I can observe and the forces that act on it, I would need some sort of evidence.

POEMS, MYTHS OF CREATION AND LOGICAL COSMOLOGY

The terms god and goddess are generally seen as interchangeable when referring to a female deity. Your counter-argument against the argument that his thoughts and visions where to vague to be his is that his thoughts and visions where not vague because if they where then they would not be his?

    Atheistic Double Standard?

To be honest, I also felt that my beliefs where sketchy when I was not a skeptic. It is what caused me to do some introspection about why I believe what I believe. Frankly it seems to come down to: "I don't believe in other gods because I believe in Christianity." This begs the question of...

Is there a single shred of evidence against naturalism?

First you doubt everything even your own thoughts, after all everything that you see or think could be false or deceptions. But in order to be deceived or have false thoughts, something that means that "you" must exist and be having thoughts. So therefore you are a thinking thing. That you can...

POEMS, MYTHS OF CREATION AND LOGICAL COSMOLOGY

Why would a god intentionally make his instructions for humanity to not only be vague but seemingly designed to give the wrong impression?
  8. CogentPhilosopher

Is there a single shred of evidence against naturalism?

Yeah I know. But I can work naturally from solipsism into naturalism, would you care to follow the steps with me?
  9. CogentPhilosopher

Is there a single shred of evidence against naturalism?

He does not understand that if he ignores that the negative stance is the default one that he must disprove every single other claim in order to have his own stand.

    Honesty Feels Good

In all honesty, I have lied a lot in my life and have made a lot of clever deceptions before. Especially to myself. But honesty feels much better than all of it.

Is there a shred of evidence for atheistic physicalism?

No we are using plays from the logic handbook. Perhaps you should read it sometime. Now prove to me that Lord Helix is not real.

Is there a shred of evidence for atheistic physicalism?

Yet you refuse to provide evidence of your position when asked to.

"...but intelligent people believe in God" Analysis, Discussion, and Debate

Actually you are correct. The Big-Bang theory does not state that it has to have been of infinite density, it is just one of the most leading interpretations.

"...but intelligent people believe in God" Analysis, Discussion, and Debate

Belief that it did not. The big-bang theory states that the universe went from a state of infinite density into what we have today. Before that point physical laws as we understand them would not likely be applicable. Currently it is impossible to truly know what happened before the universe...

Origin of life, Adam and the Dinosaurs

You do realize I was a Christian before right? I began to read the bible with an open mind to validate my beliefs and it did not turn out that way.

How is photography not a tool of Satan?

Okay I know a thing or two about HEMA, historical European martial arts, and I am going to tell you that a sword could not kill a dragon if they existed. You would have trouble with even a pike. You just called dragons greater than humans. Why the contradiction?

Is there a shred of evidence for atheistic physicalism?

    MWAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. CogentPhilosopher

Is there a shred of evidence for atheistic physicalism?

Frankly what you want to believe does not change the minds of the academically honest.
  19. CogentPhilosopher

Is there a shred of evidence for atheistic physicalism?

Is that why you tried to shift the burden of proof in the first place?

    Some Hindu scriptures

No..... I was saying that IF a religion came from any sort of deity or deities it should not matter what culture they came in.
