A "relatively obscure" Jesus is not the Jesus we read of in the gospels. The Jesus of the gospels drew huge crowds wherever he went. That relatively obscure Jesus must be yet another imaginary Jesus of the same name.
Writings of a "resurrection" come first (the early epistle writers), and a story of a Jesus (the gospel) came much later. Some doubt the existence of an historical Jesus and for good reason, but most believe because it is ingrained deep within our culture that Jesus lived and died for us all.
Nazareth was unheard of prior to gMark. The location and name of present day Nazareth was determined centuries later. Holy grail seekers claim otherwise.
