    Mithras and Christianity

Well from a non Christian response would be it (Christianity) was probably influenced by it. I remember reading once a Christian response was that it (Mithraism) was only to open the way for Christianity.

    Sharia in the western world

The spirit of Sharia law is justice, equality and respect. I have no idea where you are getting your information from O__O Sure the Islamic Empire conquered many people, but hardly anyone was forced to convert (just the people in the Holy lands, and even then, they were given the right to...

    Sharia in the western world

I agree that the spirit of the sharia law hasn't been upheld for a while now. Forced conversions is extremely rare in Islamic history. And I don't think there has even been an instance when Jews were forced to convert. :/

    Questions about the Koran

I would also like to add that although God doesn't love some people, he does care for them. He sends guidance to everyone, not just Muslims.

Prophets--quality control. Especially for Muslims, LDS

Well what would you like to know? I was a Buddhist before. Although not a very good one. I was more a... cultural Buddhist then a real Buddhist. That is, I didn't follow a lot of the rules really, nor did I study the scripture. I am majoring in theology in school right now. I was studying...

Would you welcome a Buddhist temple in your neighborhood?

There is a Buddhist temple about an hour from my home. It is a tourist attraction hahahaha It is so beautiful. And everyone is so nice. Oh shoot... I don't know where I put the pictures I took :(

    Sharia in the western world

Saudi Arabia is not a good example of the ideal Muslim country. They are Wahabis and there interpretation of Sharia is just >_< And even if Sharia law was the law of the land, no one is forced to be Muslim or believe in Allah (swt) or any god :(

Muslims: That's How I Found The True Islam

But if something is uncertain we are best to avoid it that is true. But if you say so and so is idiotic, then you find out that Prophet Muhammad (saws) DID say that, then what are you going to say to Allah (swt)?

    Sharia in the western world

Sharia is only meant for Muslims. Non Muslims can have their own courts so unless the majority of the US becomes Muslim and somehow enacts it, I don't think Sharia has a place in the West.

    The Problems with the Qur'an

why are you being rude? :( The money is only to be used for the state, if to conquer more lands then it must only be in retaliation to an injustice. And it isn't 1/4, the jizya is even less then zakat which the Muslims must pay. Islam conquered those lands because of things they did...

    Being Christian and Gay

I am trying to understand how gay people in my religion can reconcile their homosexuality with Islam. The only verses in the Qur'an that seem to speak of homosexuality are that of the story of Prophet Lut (as). You know them as the story of Sodom and Gomorrah. I have a gay brother who lives in...

    The Problems with the Qur'an

but the jizya was used for their sake as well. It was meant for the people of the nation, and that would mostly be non Muslims. And also, there is only war in self defense/retaliation and oppression. If none of those are met then Muslims have absolutely no right to invade another country.

    Theists: Would You Welcome...

Yes anyone and everyone is welcome :) Others may even pray there I believe. Although there is probably going to be segregation between men and woman. But IDK might not.

Muslims: That's How I Found The True Islam

I think it odd to deny the hadiths. Even if some, or even most, are fabricated, we have an idea of which were most probably said by him. And to call them barbaric as some Qur'anists do, that is just wrong!

Muslims and Jews: Are Christians Idolators?

I think it depends on what "idol worshiping" means. I think that, from a point of view that is not Muslim, it is not idol worship if they believe Jesus (as) to be God. For, they are not using an intermediary to get to Him, they believe Jesus (as) IS Him. Now, that is still shirk in Islam, but I...

I would welcome it :) I have Buddhists in my family. And I know several Buddhist people. It would be nice. I love meditation anyways :)

Chronologically and geographically isolated revelation = god is unjust and unfair.

Awww *hugs back* I thank you brother :) I know, when we get into debates I get sad. Oh well. I gave my two cents hahahaha By the way, I have tried reading the Bhagavad Gita and other scriptures of Hinduism. But it is so confusing for me (although I do get the feeling I am reading something...
