"Men and brethren, what shall we do?"

First, may I remind you that the absence of evidence is not the evidence of absence? Second, this series of videos explains much of the science of the ark, dispelling many erroneous assumptions that make people think it's just a silly story. It's long, though, so if you're interested, you'll...

    Favorite Bible Study Guides?

My favorite is the Back to the Bible series written by Bobby Bates and the new supplementals, Believe the Bible, that were written by Rob Whitacre. The originals are for someone who already believes in God and the Bible, the supplementals are to help someone who doesn't believe yet, but is...

    Favorite Bible's

This is the only study bible I recommend. It is a New King James, and as the title suggests, its supplemental material is geared toward apologetics, defending God, the Bible, Christ, and the church Christ built. Defending the Faith Study Bible (Hardback)

    Genesis 1:26 and the Trinity

There is no contradiction. Verse 18 specifies firstborn from the dead. That doesn't mean firstborn creation. It means that He is the first to be resurrected after the cross.

    The Protestant Bible is flawed

I'm going to make this a reply to several, and so quote none. Yes, I believe that the translations we have today are the complete Bible, as God wanted us to have it. No, I do not believe there are any errors in most English language translations. (I can't speak to other languages.) I do believe...

"Men and brethren, what shall we do?"

God didn't promise no floods. He promised not to destroy the planet with water again.

"Men and brethren, what shall we do?"

That's a bigger question, I think, not covered by this thread.

"Men and brethren, what shall we do?"

At least you seem to understand what I was saying.

"Men and brethren, what shall we do?"

How is acknowledging that God wrote both Testaments and using the Old Testament for examples (not for authority, which is a different question) disregarding Jesus? The Old Testament was the Scripture Jesus had to work from, so He used it, too.

"Men and brethren, what shall we do?"

If you want to drive, you have to get a licence. But no one is forcing you to drive. Your analogy is erroneous.

"Men and brethren, what shall we do?"

The covenant between God and the earth after the flood was that He wouldn't destroy the world with water again. Genesis 9:11 Thus I establish My covenant with you: Never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of the flood; never again shall there be a flood to destroy the earth. Just...

"Men and brethren, what shall we do?"

Let me ask you this: if Noah had used built the ark out of metal or mud, do you think it would have saved him and his family from the flood? What about if he had built it out of pine or oak? God told him to use gopher wood. If he had changed the pattern he was given by God, do you think for a...

"Men and brethren, what shall we do?"

That's exactly right. This is also demonstrated when Pilate specifically asks Jesus if He is the King of the Jews in John 18:33-37. (NKJV quoted below.) 33 Then Pilate entered the Praetorium again, called Jesus, and said to Him, “Are You the King of the Jews?” 34 Jesus answered him, “Are you...

    The Protestant Bible is flawed

I take it that you do not believe that the Bible is the inerrant inspired word of God? Why don't you explain your reasoning, please? What is it that makes you say that the Bible is not inspired? (Inspired, by the way, means "breathed into", in a religious context meaning "breathed into by God".)...

I'm sorry, I know I said I was done, but how is a confession a baptism?

    The Protestant Bible is flawed

The access I refer to IS his inspiration. In other words, God told him so. And yes, I believe that Jude was an inspired book, as I believe all the books of the Bible to be inspired. No I do not include the Apocrypha. There are a lot of reasons for this, but I think someone else would be better...
