    Can we compromise on abortion?

Every proposed solution seems to have its flaws. Even allowing abortion is the case of rape has its problems. Anti-abortionists claim the innocence of the unborn, then how can they compromise away the innocence of a fetus, sins of the father? Pro-choicer simply means 'I won't' have one but...

    Menstrual horrors?

For a woman to make 'good' choices has nothing to do with religion. All I have referred to is the necessity for making healthy decisions, both bodily and emotionally. And it requires some kind of guidance, no matter if one is religious or an atheist. What kind of mother would not protect her...

    Menstrual horrors?

No, but to all that a first menstruation signifies, womanhood. You're opposition of moral seems to be to some kind of religious term. It simply means 'good', making wise decisions as to her sexual awakening.

    Menstrual horrors?

With her first period this young girl has become a woman. You are hung up on the word moral, so instead simply go with guidance in what to expect from her hormonal changes and sex drive. Or of course, don't bother, she will soon pick it one way or another. But she has a gift to be used wisely.

    Menstrual horrors?

Even further back, in the fifties, we were introduced to what we later called 'our friend', in 6th grade. Back then I found 'Midol' to be helpful.

    Robert F. Kennedy for President

He's not running in Milan, who cares.

    Menstrual horrors?

But I have. Public schools, which is as it should be, do not teach any moral aspect of sex. If you are a parent would you not offer a moral compass when your child reaches the age sexual maturity?

    Robert F. Kennedy for President

Last month, for example, he put out a video that showed Fauci in a Hitler mustache. In an October speech to the Ron Paul Institute, he obliquely compared public health measures put in place by governments around the world to Nazi propaganda meant to scare people into abandoning critical...

    Menstrual horrors?

It would be idiotic to explain the cycle without explaining its purpose since Menarche happens during a time of physical and sexual maturation.

    Menstrual horrors?

So your answer is to tell the girl she will bleed every month for the next 30 years or so and not bother to explain the purpose.

    Menstrual horrors?

The Church promotes a sound, healthy, secular sex education, such as in public schools, but will add to it its own moral component.

    Menstrual horrors?

I think the Church agrees, parents are to be the prime educators when it comes to morality.

    Jesus is cool

That only applies to the 'act' not the orientation.

    Jesus is cool

I don't think Jesus was aware of what would be centuries later defined as a sexual orientation.

    Menstrual horrors?

More than that its dangerous. Some girls cycle begins earlier than others. If parents have not educated them concerning their own body imagine the fear of a young girl discovering her first period in a school bathroom. It seems Florida wants to keep its citizens in the dark about a lot of...

Religion is fundamentally divisive. That's not helping!

I would not agree that all dogma, as it presents a particular belief system should be tossed out, as the purpose is to define a belief. But when a current dogma no longer speaks to a new understanding, while it may have been appropriate for one epic of time, may not be meaningful for today.

    Workplace Stories

When I was on the nursing staff at a nursing home facility, Alsheimer unit, we had a patient who once owned a Los Vegas hotel. He spent his time sitting in front of the nursing station, if a nurse walked by not to his liking, he would yell 'get this bimbo out of my lobby'.

Religion is fundamentally divisive. That's not helping!

I agree. any 'dogma' ought to be developed to meet the ongoing development of knowledge, not to be frozen, stagnant.

    Brave Mouse Problem

They become very sneaky and proficient in getting the pb without springing the trap. I have almost a constant mouse problem. The dog has actually caught a few. Tried every sort of trap there is, including the 'glue paper' which is horrible as the mouse squeaks trying to move off the paper. He is...
